I have 4 bulging discs C4 through C7. Previouly I was doing okay and all of a sudden started having numbing/tingling down arm. Currently I'm doing PT. My doc has suggested a steroid injection which I know is a big no no. What else can I do to help this problem?

Chiropractor.
No steroids.
Save time and money on chiropractor rather than PT.

Yes, no steroids whatsoever! Not to mention the actual injection is excruciatingly painful (well, I had an epidural of steroids into my lower back...OUCH!).
If you do go to a chiropractor, make sure they are really good! They can do more harm than good. But the good ones are good.
Good luck!

Prior to my LD diagnosis I had 4 bulging disks in my neck and 2 in my lumbar.
Numbness and tingling down my hand and arm were not related as an MRI showed no nerve impingement.
It was Lyme symptoms -then lyme explosion after I did cortisone shots that spread neuro symptoms throughout my body....don't do the shots!
I would request an MRI or find out (if you have had one recently) if it shows nerve impingement, if not, it is LD symptoms. Nerve impingement is rare really.
The disks will heal in time, all of mine are now normal.
Opt instead for lidocaine trigger point injections not corticosteroids. Lidocaine will break the pain cycle without slamming the immune system. Make sure your LLMD oks this even. I did fine with Lidocaine but cortisone destroyed me.

Something that really helped me with disc problems was an inversion table. You don't have to fully hang upside down (tough on the ankles--but I did that too), and can control how far and how long you are stretching out.
This worked well for me!
Also, I did get Vax-D for lower back disc problems and prolo-therapy as well. I really had troubles!!
I still use the inversion table often, since I seem to have degenerating joints in my neck now.
This helps a LOT with the tingling problems and pain also.
I got my inversion table for $100 looking in the local resale ads. Best $100 I spent in my life.

Thank you everyone. I absolutely will not do a steroid shot..this is how my lyme first came about in 04.
Right now I'm pretty sure I'm having some what of a relapse. My LLMD has me taking Ivermectin for parasites. This protocl they've used is successful supposeably. February 20, I have a phone appointment with my LLMD. I do have some abx lying around...Doxy from a sinus infection recently. Seriously thinking about taking it.
I have a brand new bottle of Glucosamine I came across and will start that immediately. In the mean time, I'll see if I can get into my neck doc and do some trigger point injections to break the pain cycle.
