I have been listening to a blog on lyme saying the cost of IV rocephin is $12,000 a month. I'm sure all of them are pretty expensive. My question is...are insurances picking up the cost of these? Inquiring minds would like to know.

It depends on your individual insurance policy.
You could call your company and see what there policy is when it comes to IV treatment and rocephin.

Thank you roadrunner. I am fairly new to the board and had never really seen that. Apparently none of the ins. companies will pay for these drugs? I have PPO B/C B/S.

Do you have a LLMD? lyme doctor is he going to put you on rocephin? Call the company and see if they still give it out to people with no money. Don't tell them you have insurance.

I am switching to Dr. H in NY. Appoint. Aug 5th. The doc aI have been seeing forCFS said it would probably be my next step. No, I don't really know but I'm sure it will be sometime down the road.
Actually, there's probably a good chance he could try me on some different orals first.
