It has been 28 days now on IV vancomycin 1,000mg twice a day and high dose bicillin shots at the clinic.

My liver enzymes have risen a little but my LLMD's supplements have knocked them back down without having to back off the IV's.

Herxing is not as severe but still pretty rough.
No real improvements yet.

I will be on Vanco for another 56 days, then retest myself to look for improvements.

A different antibiotic will be used later, most likely Primaxin or Flagyl.

I might also start a Primaxin cure soon. Hopefully in mid-July. I will combine it with ciprofloxacin. Keep us posted on how you progress

Do you know what dose will you be taking of Primaxin?

Too funny. I am also interested in hearing how vancomycin works as a Lyme cure... my LLMD mentioned trying it next - he told me there was an LLMD in Florida that put his patients on long term vanco IV and says it cures most of them! So let's hope that's what happens here.

But the vanco's on hold because he wants to try one other of the newer abx's first.

So I'll be watching for your updates (and hopefully we can trade success stories)

Hi Byron!

Sounds like you're hanging in there! So glad the herxes are being helped.

What do you do to keep occupied at the clinic everyday?

Thanks for keeping up posted!

Take Care, MommaK

I have just crossed the 2 month mark of treatment. I had to be put on IV doxy temporarly because of such severe herxing from the IV vancomycin. I will go back on it soon and do 2 more months of it. I am continuing the IM Bicillin weekly as well.

My circulation has improved, I have more color, some days I have more energy, and everynow and then I will feel "decent" not great but decent... Still such a long ways to go

Insurance ended up paying for my first month of treatment, so that was good.

I am still in the herx storm that continues to go on and on but it is not quite as bad. I need atleast 3 more months of treatment, so I am looking at 5-6 months total for treatment.

Have your headaches and stomach aches let up? I think you are a very brave and strong young man...not to mention you have an excellent attitude.

Best,
