Does anyone have a suggestion? If no suggestion for a tincture , how about a strong alternative capsule. Someone recently posted good results w/ the tincture , but had no name of the product so I can find it .
I am forced to self treat and I am certain I have babs .

Annxyz and Hoosiers:
I sent you both PMs with all the answers and more links.
Hey, never apologize because all the clues have not come your way. This is a very difficult position to be in with a great deal of information to sift and sort.
An alternative treatment strategy developed by Zhang Clinic has been published by Dr. Qingcai Zhang and Yale Zhang of SinoMed Research Institute.
[Dr. Weil says]: This is a comprehensive book on the cause and treatment of Lyme disease using modern Chinese medicine, which I have found to be a better option than Western medicine for this difficult infection.
Lyme disease is becoming more frequent in many parts of the world, is frequently misdiagnosed, and often resists treatment with antibiotics alone. Here is a new and hopeful way of looking at the disease and its management.
- Dr. Andrew Weil, Harvard Medical School graduate and a leading figure in the field of alternative medicines
--
From what I have read to date, the authors have done an outstanding job with combining traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine together.

Annxyz : I forgot to mention that if Artemesinin can be harder to tolerate for those with a liver that is stressed.
Art. utilizes the liver detox pathway, Cytochrome P-450.
Many with lyme (especially if they have multiple chemical sensitvities) have deficiencies of the necessary enzymes for the C P-450 pathyway to metabolize certain types of chemicals (and that includes some foods and OTC products, too).
I know you said you have to self-treat and I'm so sorry for that. Many of us here do and that is simply a sad reality. Still, you may be able to borrow some DVDs from your local lyme support group.
You might be able to borrow other books from them as well.
AND you MUST have support for your liver. Milk thistle is just one. It can help your liver make some of the necessary enzymes and help the treatments work better for you. Still, it's not magic.
If you ever feel that anything you do is too hard on your body, back off. Don't ride through a horrible "herx" as it may be more than that. A "herx" can indicate that the liver can't keep up and one result can be excess porphyrins that, themselves, can kill cells. Beta Carotene is just one help with this.
And there is a lot of hope around the use of light therapy with the Bionic 880 or Lightworks (GiGi, Marnie, Sparkle7, and many others are posting lots about that lately. Marnie's posts are very educational so you can search for her threads.)
I hope you can find the information you need to guide you safely. And, perhaps, someone at your local support group can guide you to a doctor who may work out for you - or you might see if that doctor could do a lecture, etc.
In addition to Dr. Z's book, you might enjoy reading Buhner's "Healing Lyme" - even if you don't use such supplements, there is a great deal of knowledge there.
Kenneth Singleton, MD "The Lyme Disease Solution" is also very good. Amazon carries them all and you can read customer reviews.
