I have a trusted acupuncturist who has in the past helped me with endometriosis using chisnese herbs/acupuncture. Has this been successful for stomach issues due to lyme or parasites?

When I was at my worst with Lyme four years ago, stomach problems where a huge part of my illness. I had severe nausea, acid reflux, diarrhea, very poor digestion, and severe stomach pain just to name a few.

Diet (dairy and gluten free) and digestive enzymes took away the nausea, acid reflux and some pain. However I still had upset stomach with diarrhea almost everyday with some stomach pain left over.

I started doing acupuncture and chinese herbs
for these symptoms and others. It did take awhile but, it improved my stomach greatly. I was not doing any other treatment (ex. antibiotics) at this time due to not knowing it was Lyme that I was suffering from.

Acupuncture and herbs got me to the point (sorry this is gross) where I had the first formed bm that I had since I got sick 3 years prior. It took a few months more of this treatment to get to where this was the norm for me.

When I stopped doing acupunture/herbs (due to the acupunturist moving) my stomach was normal everyday except maybe once every two weeks. This improvement lasted several months then I started to downslide again with the improvements.

I just started acupuncture/herbs about two months ago and I'm happy to say my stomach is getting normal again. I really believe in acupuncture/herbs and their ability to help with symptoms including stomach problems.

Ive had alot of gastritis and DGL (licorice) chewed before meals has really helped alot. also my doc recently prescribed something called butyren to build up the lining of the stomach and intestines. I dont know about chinese herbs, licorice is the main one that has worked for me.
I also brew up chicken broth (on the instructions of my naturopath) as it is supposed to give the stomach all the minerals and gellatin that it needs to be healthy, these simple things have helped alot but i guess it depends on what is causing ur stomach issues. if its candida or parastites then you also have to treat those,
hope this helps!

I really don't know what herbs they were. The acupuncturist had me on a powdered tea that he had custom made for me at a chinese herb store. It was based on what he felt I needed from using chinese medicine ways of diagonosing what is going on in the body. It could be different for everyone. These herbal teas that acupuncturist do is a combination of many herbs. I never asked what they were basically because I COMPLETELY

(sorry my computer posted before I was done)

trusted him and didn't feel the need to ask. The acupunctuist would be able to figure out what would be helpful to you. I think how good the acupuncturist is makes a big difference.
