Would you mind sharing your experiences?

I know this is a pretty open-ended question, but thanks in advance for any info.

There are people at www.cpnhelp.org who take doxy (200 mg day), azithromycin M, W, F, and flagyl once a month to treat chlamydia pneumonia.

They might offer their experiences to you.

Best,
Timaca

I believe the tick guide says tetras undermine flagyl.

I am on 400mg Doxy twice a day and 1000mg Flagyl twice a day for about 5 weeks so far and I got another 2 months to go.

I read ILADS about not mixing tetracyclines with Metronidazole but I spoke to an LLMD who informed me that tests also show that the Flagyl has a trapping effect on the Doxycycline and taking 200mg is like taking 300mg.

I am getting better for sure but I am not cured yet. We'll see how I feel after 3 months.

I can say that the Flagyl did make a difference cause when I took just Doxy, my head was clearing up a lot and my skin felt like it had bugs in it...then start the Doxy and deathly stiff neck and back, couldn't remember whole sentences, and felt like my right hand and wrist had been shattered with a hammer. After a few days that mostly cleared up.

as Dr. and I discovered, taking high-dose Doxy plus Tindamax was the best thing for me - the best of all the various combos he tries.

Were you taking generic Flagyl or brand name? I heard there's a big difference.

400 mg doxy, 1500mg flagyl here.
This combo isn't great on my stomach, but elsewhere I feel pretty good. First week as I ramped up I didn't like it (herxed pretty hard), but now I just don't enjoy the taste of flagyl. Make sure you drink lots of water with the doxy.

Hint for taking Flagyl - If you have the pill that's kind of "powdery" Roll it in olive oil before taking. It keeps the powdery stuff off your tongue (ie thrush) and tastes way better!

I haven't started yet on my tindamax (flagyl) but I am supposed to this week. It is paired with Doxy.. and a little cipro.

I hope i have good results like some have said they did with this combo
