I posted here about 5 week ago asking about whether getting a cold was a good thing or not. The cold came and went and slightly sidetracked my progress. Now i came down a stomach bug????uggg.
Like many of you i haven't been sick in 2 years. Now i'm being treated and getting better and boom back to bakc illnesses. Trying to figure out what if anything this means? as much as i wasn't to say its posistive i feel a slight backsliding going on.
Any thoughts?

I don't buy that line of thinking. It doesn't apply to healthy people that never get sick, and that's because they have a very strong immune system that squashes the bugs/viruses before they can do any significant amount of damage. I was one of those people before I got slymed by a tick!
The reason that people feel tired, exhausted, are coughing up flem, and achy is not because their immune system is working properly, but because of the havoc that the bugs are causing.
I believe that most lymies don't catch colds and flu at all, or at least not as often is because their immune systems are in high gear all the time. Their immune systems can't get rid of the really bad things that are killing them, but it can easily take care of a common cold or flu.
Another reason is because of way less exposure to the public, family, and friends. Interaction with other people in public places like School, Church, Movie Shows, and Restaurants is how a lot of people catch things.

Not sure what you mean, micul, flu/fever symptoms - headache, fatigue, achy joints/muscles, light/sound sensitivity, etc., are caused by and exactly signs of a functioning immune system. The bugs normally have nothing to do with it other than stimulating immune system response.

Thanks for everyone's reponses. Can't help but think it has a tie in with LYME. I've had stomach bugs before but not ones that had the strange immune respose that this one causes. I had chills so bad that my body was shaking so hard it hurt.
Back to work today but completely out of sorts.
