I saw my doctor yesterday and I showed her my mottled hand and luckily while in her office she got to see my hands turn dark red and then with blue patches! She said, wow...I see that a lot with Bartonella and sometimes Lyme. I started bart treatment in two weeks after my current course. Ugh.

Yep, I've got it. It's called Raynaud's Phenomenon or Raynaud's Disease. Doc says he sees it alot with Lyme and Bart. Many feel it's caused by Lyme/Bart entirely. Of course, you'll find little mention of that in the mainstream literature. *rolling eyes*
When the hands get cold it can become painful actually.
LLMD's have told me that Bart, in particular, causes lots of vascular issues.
Here are some photos, there are lots of images on the web.

I have this too. It was one of my first symptoms that I got with joint pain. The palms of my hands are almost always red. Then they turn blue when cold.
When this happens I have to put them under warm water to get it to go away. Of course then they turn bright red! I also suspect that I have Bart.

Warm water does not help me because they do not feel cold.

"Many pharmaceutical substances are prepared as hydrochlorides so that they may be quickly released in the gastrointestinal tract; the body usually absorbs a hydrochloride within 15 - 30 minutes."
We KNOW Bb uses/needs tryptophan (can't grow in culture dishes without it)...is this yet another critical nutrient that is preventing our liver from...regenerating following "insult"?
