Anyone here taking Bactrim for treatment? My dr put me on it for two reasons-to help with some of the lyme symptoms but mainly for a UTI.

My stomach is killing me!! Its so upset all the time, nausea, buring, etc. Anyone else get this while on this drug? Yuck!!

Nancy

be very careful!

my elderly mother almost died from bactrim. her doctor didn't recognize her allergic reaction and she continued to take it for a week -- then they hospitalized her for a week.

Some people, especially the elderly, do have dire reactions to bactrim.

On the other hand, i take it every day with no problems.

please call your doctor if you are worried at all.

Bactrim has been alway a great DRUG for me.It deals not with lyme but bart, babs and pseudomonas( that I beilive can cause UTI) as well and even RICKETSIAS( typhy ) that can infect the entire digestive track .

I hope you are herxing.I used to have same reaction from each drug for 2 years.I tested energeticly OK for them but MY STOMACK would act out.I was killing with even 1 doxy.

I am not ignoring that you could be alergic to it..but seems to me that most people back off due to be scared..and they are herxing.

AGAIN I am not a doctor but I am trying to give you an opinion .
