I started taking 2 tablets per day a few months ago. I am not sure if it has helped and it's hard to say since I am also trying other treatments at the same time.
I don't think there's any harm in taking it and I have not experienced any side effects so I think you should give it a try.

Have you talked with your doctor about they type of pain that you are experiencing? Is is due to peripheral neuropathy, injury, pinched nerve, etc...?
If it is due to peripheral neuropathy than give Metanx a try. I'm not sure if it will help with other types of nerve pain.
My doctor is the one that diagnosed me with peripheral neuropathy. I struggle more with numbness than pain. After trying daily B12 shots with no relief he suggested trying Metanx.
Metanx has helped reduce the severity and frequency of my symptoms but it has not gotten rid of them. I also started IV Rocephin a couple weeks after Metanx and have noticed more relief with this combo.
As you have probably read, Metanx is an RX combo of the active forms of B12, B6, and Folate. It is not a pain reliever, it actually helps heal your body.
If your doctor suggested you try it, i'd say go for it. Give it a couple weeks then let us know how you're doing on it.
