Everyday around 4:00 a burning headache starts in. I did a search and didn't see anything regarding this type of headache.
It feels like my forehead and temples are burning. It's driving me crazy. I take so much headache medicine that I feel like one day I'm going to go to the bathroom and my liver is going to fall out!
It seems be a part of the treatment as I don't remember having these before I got back on my meds. I am on biaxin/plaq combo. Any ideas?
Thanks, Ann

I get these too - I know exactly what you mean. You might not have found anything/much in a search because people usually use so many different words to describe their pain, even if it is the same.
I think when I have described it here before I called in "inflamed" or "sore", or like it was a toxic burn. It is terrible. I got these before treatment, but they also would come back or worsen during flares or Herxes, once I was in treatment. It feels like my nerves and veins are on fire, and like there is generalized burning/bad inflammation inside my skull as well.
I would look at detox and liver support measures, along with what others have suggested. Some Herx symptoms will be very difficult or impossible to completely get rid of, but you can always do more to try to help them lessen, through detox measures, etc.

The only anti-inflammatory med that does not cause rebound headaches is naproxen sodium (Aleve). If you take too much of anything else, you can start having a headache when you don't take it.
I would either go down on or stop the antibiotic. If you go down, you can slowly ramp back up. If you stop, you can talk to your LLMD about using something else.
In fact, try stopping for a few days and see if it goes away.

I get these as well - the "burning" headache that comes on later in the day (for me tends to be around 6pm or so)
- it feels like the type of headache you get with fevers (thinking back to things like the flu) but when I measure body temp it is still in normal range (although my temp goes up from my normal morning temp of 97.0 to around 98.5 when I get this burning type headache)
