I found out that my liver enzymes were elevated on my last blood work. High by about 2.5 times normal on AST and by 4 times normal on ALT.

My doctor recommended I keep taking the malarone and bactrim but add NAC and a couple of other supplements. Will this clear up?

I am in a panic here. I have made enormous gains in past 9 months and am terrified of slipping back if I stop the treatment.

Thanks for sharing any knowledge on this.

I think his recommendations were good. It's not uncommon for them to rise when on ABX. Hopefully they will come down with the new supplements. What did he recommend besides NAC. Did he recommend Milk Thistle?

If they don't come down, you may have to stop ABX for a short time and they usually will come down, but every one is different. Don't panic yet. See what the supplements do.

Thanks Abx. I am trying not to panic. I can't help it.

So, no Milk Thistle because he says it interferes with the Malarone. The other two are:

Phosphatidylyserin and Sarsaparilla

I have never heard of these but the health food store person knew exactly where they were.
