and they feel a little dry and sort of burning. BUt mostly the heaviness and the half closed looking thing. What is this? Anyone else? It makes me look and feel awful...sick, I look really sick.

Just had a very extensive eye work-up in the last two weeks. So nothing there.

This happens to me too! Eyes get very dry and burn and get red and heavy. Sometimes my eyeballs hurt, and I can't look at the light.

My doc says it can be a migraine, or just a lyme symptom. I have tried migraine medication a few times, but it doesn't seem to do much for it.

Do the wetting drops help you? Light also is killing my eyes and I have to close them even more.

I had this up til recently, and absolutely hated it. It seems to have responded to Babesia treatment, specifically Malarone, roxithromycin & chloroquine. I suffered with this symptom most of last year and was on Mepron which didn't do much for me. I just switched to the above protocol about a month ago and have improved tremendously.

Interesting!! I have upper lids that totally fold over, so it's almost

hard to see. I hate it. I'd love to have it go away. I was on

Mepron, and will be switching tomorrow to Malarone, but not the

other abx. I'd be surprised if it did it for me, but you never know. I'm sure that a lot of it is getting older, unfortunately (for me).

i have a lot of pain and swelling in my head

when things get really bad my face - eyes - forhead get "puffy"

sometimes the heaviness is on one side and feels like a faint bell's palsy

sometimes it is just slightly swollen

detoxing helps - but does not completely get rid of it - it gets worse for me with herxing

ok so i'm on b/c i wanted to post b/c my 9 year old some (lyme remission) can't open his eyes. Says his eye balls hurt and burn. Eyes are very swollen. Going on since last night.

I don't see anything crusty. He has to apply constant pressure to the right eye to keep the pain down.

Last night also complained of feeling 'weird" from his knees to his chest.

Here's the question: Do i take him to the pediatrican and check for pink eye or just take him to our lyme dr?

Could pink eye manifest in pain and swelling?

Okay< woke up this morning with swollen upper eyelids as well as puffy lower lids. Eyes still feel dry and burning, light sensitive. Skin on upper eyes is hanging down in the corners of my inner eye area.

Undereyes are grey looking. Have appt with allergist today...will see if he offers any insight.

It feels like an infection though. NO drainage, crust, etc. as with other eye infections. Feel like someone is choking me as well.

No meds in two weeks. Hope to be cleared by allergist today to continue meds....and MALARONE is one of them that I am to start....I sure hope that I have results like you Psano2 [Smile]

Dmbfan, sounds more like TBI's since multi-system complaints.

Thanks everyone, gotta get ready for doctor appt

Is it possible that it is related to yeast. I have been treating since 6/1/09 and I am starting to have problems with yeast. Could this be related to yeast?

My eyes have been really bothering me also - itching - floaters and redness. Right eye is far worse.

I thought it might have had a reaction to a new medicine but I don't think so.

I hope Malarone works for you also, Rumy & Feelfit. That symptom was so depressing to me.

Hi feelfit, me again, lol, I have this but only in my left eye. I have seen droopy eyelids on a couple lyme symptom lists. My eye gets worse on my bad days too I noticed.

dmbfan, glad that your son is responding to the drops.

Hey Lisa, well what a surprise! Something else in common.

Results from allergist appt: No environmental allergies, no med allergies, no food allergies.

My small airways in lungs are inflamed and working at 50% capacity. Never had asthma before, but I guess that I have it now. He was appalled that they ony gave me Abuterol at the local doc's after the results of my lung function tests. I have been rx'ed inhalers to try and bring the inflammation down. I live in rural America in a Great lake area and have to travel 2 hours to allergist.....any specialist.

He had no idea about the eye swelling except to say that Lyme is a disease of inflammation and it could very well just be the disease......

Gave me the green light to go back on my lyme meds, so that is good I guess. He wants to see my Pulmonary study too because it could be that I have COPD and not asthma??????

What the heck, never had problems before, ran competetively etc.....gotta be TBI's

One more thing to deal with.

Feelfit
