Can someone help me with knowing what test's to ask for that would rule out if parasites are involved?

People seeking doctors might be able to get help from their state online information and support group. Nearly 3,400 people belong to state groups. Some of the groups are small but more than 20 of them have 50 or more people and seven have over 100.

The groups are moderated and you have to apply. Most don't allow doctor names, but once on the group, you can ask for doctors in a certain area and ask people to email you privately.

To find your state group, go to
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme

Type your state name and lyme as one word, like this -
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/newyorklyme

South Carolina is the only state that needs a hyphen between the statename
and lyme, e.g. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/southcarolina-lyme

This explains the medical politics around Lyme, and why you need an ILADS-educated or ILADS-member LLMD (and there are also some ILADS-member LL NDs (naturopathic doctors):

You should also be evaluated for coinfections. Not all tests are great in that regard, either, but a good LLMD can evaluate you and then guide you in testing. www.igenex.com http://www.frylabs.com/; http://www.clongen.com/; http://focusdx.com

Oy Betty, Not what I wanted to be when I grew up. A guru on parasites. [lol] I have some knowledge as do others here.

The test for O & P (ova and parasites) is highly unreliable. I was tested many times for O&P and it always came up negative.

After treating with antiparasitics and salt/c i had numerous parasites pour out of me including everything on

www.lymephotos.com.

Parasites can play a MAJOR role in Lyme disease.Over 90% of the population has parasites so it's really a pretty sure bet that you would have them.

Best to go ahead and treat with antiparasitics. Your LLMD may not be familiar with this aspect as they are not highly trained in parasitology like any other MD.

Ask your LLMD to check using Diagnos-Techs,Inc. lab.

You need the G.I. Health kit and it's a do at home test.

This lab seems to be doing good work.

YOur best test is to just do a cleanse.

Try a natural type one like Humaworm or Dr. Natura., or the Salt C as recommended by Gael.

You will see results that are not disputable if you have an over abundance of them. No need to do a lab test.

Diagnos -Tech, test was negetive for me...my toilet says and has seen otherwise!

Our bodies will not release the parasites naturally in the stool without injesting the right ingredients to kill them. The terrain in our bodies that has many viruses and bacteria, also holds onto the parasites and heavy metals and candida/fungus. Our bodies are living in a certain balance.

Once the terrains balance in changed with removing any one of those...you will notice aggrevated symptoms and other changes that look like mores symptoms. Herx like.

I had more of an overgrowth of Candida after the first parasite cleanse. Also my EBV became active as my tape worm was killed....as the viruses and bacteria that it was harboring was release into my body with the killing.

Lymph drainage became an issue.

There is clean up involved when you work on these things. Know that and you will not be alarmed when you notice these things coming out. Clean up takes time and patience. Many can help you on your way. This is how I became lyme free. My immune system was finally able to work now on its own with all the cleanup.

Sorry if this is off topic but it kind of relates...

I had a colonoscopy not too long ago and the GI doc declared me extremely healthy. He did not see any problems. Would parasites show up in colonoscopy?

I know some can be very small but if you here are talking about them coming out in the toilet and can be seen by the naked eye...then would it be reasonable to think they could have seen them with the colonoscopy?

They don't look for them in a colonoscopy...they are attached to plaque and hide in crevices...the big ones anyway. Many have liver flukes...most common... that are released...not in colon, and the majority of your parasites are microscopic.

I have had regular colonoscopies, and they never revealed seeing my tape worms. But no doubt I had them...they were very large when they came out, in pieces. It looks like plaque in the intestine.

Now I recommend everyone do at least yearly cleanse. Everyone has parasites, but those with chronic illness do have them out of control, as our terrain is out of balance ...which makes the ideal breeding ground for them.

This is easy, just do it. A big part of my healing happened after my first removal. I am now doing the AI therapy, and will do another parasite cleanse after my therapy is complete. I will continue my whole life to do yearly ones...just to keep myself clear.
