So, I decided to listen to Massman and went the ART/ applied kinesiology/muscle testing route.

Very good practitioner. I ART tested positive for Lyme, Bart, Babesia and Erlichia. Also high mercury, liver stress (surprise).

We then tested various homeopathics and herbal remedies. I tested well for DEseret Biologicals Borriella series, Bartonella Remedy.

I was also given a homeopathic called : Mercury and Transfer Factor Lym....oh and Lauracidin.

I will tell you that these things packed a wallop and I have had increased neuropathies and head stuff. I stopped for 2 days and the symptoms stopped as well.....doing something, obviously.

the neuropathies were so scary that I am afraid to start again fearing that the symptoms will stay.

Anyone else have luck with Deseret Biologicals? I know that there are a lot of other things in the mix...but we can rule out Transfer Factor and Lauracicin as the cause because I did not discontinue them.

Maybe it is the homeopathic Mercury...can that cause neuropathies? My gut says it is the Deseret Biologicals.

My daughter did the bart series and it worked very well for her. We did the borrelia with babs series also and it was harder.

She did not take them every day. The bart series instructions were to take a vial every 3 days begining with #1. The borrelia/babs series instructions were to take a vial once/week.

If you were taking them both every day, I'm sure it would be very hard.

I am glad you posted this because I am wondering the same thing. My LLMD has given me a bunch of the Deseret Biologicals. I have six different ones here. I have Upper Respiratory Staph/Strep Combination, Enviroclenz, Metox, Systemic Drainage, Virus Combination, and LYM.

I started the strep one about 5 or 6 months ago but the other five she just gave me recently. I have started almost all of them. So far haven't noticed anything from the newer ones but she starts me out very slow on things since I am really sensitive to everything.

I do have to say though that she started me on their "Upper Respiratory Staph/Strep Combination" about 5 months or so ago and it seems to be working. I have a problem with very high levels of step bacteria that would not seem to budge despite the antibiotics I was taking.

Once she started me on the DB strep drops my strep levels started going down. My levels started going down even though I am not even close to the full dose yet.

And I definitely felt something from those particular drops. I was only at four drops a day and had to back down because I was feeling very shaky etc. I ruled out everything and it was definitely the drops doing that to me.

So I started back over at one drop a day and then worked back up to 4 at a much slower pace until I was finally ok with it.

I have read some good things about Deseret Biologicals so I am hoping they work well for me. So far the strep drops I am on seem to be working. I guess I will have to wait and see what the others do for me since I just started taking those.

I would be very interested to see what others have experienced as well.

Take Care!
Pam :-)

Lauricidin is found in coconut oil in large quantity. That's why coconut oil is so powerful. (cold processed, virgin coconut oil)

Feelfit, our daughter had a good experience with Deseret. She also got to it through muscle testing, using something similar to NRT.

She took the Borrelia Series twice, and it was more effective than abx. First ever herx, and then a partial lifting of fatigue.

She was just checked again today, and she did not test positive for doing a 3rd batch of the Series. (We have a friend who did 4 batches from Deseret before she got well.)

Yes Massman, thank you.

Richard, that is encouraging. I feel that they really did something too...right away. I needed to back off a little because the herx was weird neuro stuff.....

I feel that it was more effective, as far as response, than abx too. At least for me. I ahve been at a virtual standstill with 2 years abx. treatment.

Ocean, it takes a month to do the Borrelia Series once. There are 10 vials and you take 1 vial every 3 days. It is powerful stuff!

It helped with her fatigue but did not really address the joint pain. I think she is done with the abx, and moving on to other homeopathic and alternative remedies.

IS the idea of Deseret that your body comes and attacks the pathogens?

I take it that people are NOT doing this with ABX?

Deseret Biologics are powerful stuff. I do take mine with abx.

The mycoplasma series has not had any noticeable impact on me physically nor through bloodwork.

However, the bartenella series knocked me on my butt and we have had to cut the doses in half and start with #10 (the weakest)

For several boxes, I could not advance below 5. At that point, I was so symptomatic I would have to open a new box and start all over at #10 1/2 dose. Only recently was I able to venture into the lower numbers still at 1/2 dose.

Very interesting symptom is at nights I sweat profusely from my neck only. I wake up freezing from the moisture. My shirtcollar and my hair will be soaked and nothing else. Not my scalp nor my arm pits. Very weird but Bart can hang out in your lymph glands and one of my symptoms was swollen glands.

I believe in this stuff.

I'm also on Lym but can't tell any reactions. Just the bart.

CD57,

My understanding of homeopathy is it gives our immune system a picture of the pathogen. Our immune system then launches an attack on the pathogen based upon the picture.

Cd-57 I am on abx for babs and doing the Borriella Series and just the single Bart remedy at 10 drops per day.

Homeopathics do not interact with pharmaceutical drugs....so I was told by the pathologist.

What I dont get is how our immune system somehow recognises "the picture of pathogen" in water/alcohol solution and doesnt recognize the actual pathogen

Though I kinda more open to homeopathy ideas since that article which showed activity in water solution with original bacteria filtered out - make very little sense to me but maybe we are indeed missing something obvious

Coltman,

I am very open to natural treatments and have wondered the same thing. We have the actual pathogen in us so why doesn't our body just figure it out from that as opposed to the homeopathics?

So I don't quite understand it either but so far the strep one I am taking seems to be working.

I think I have heard that the theory behind homeopathics is that like cures like. But I don't now the HOW behind that.

Maybe someone else can explain to us a bit more about how they work.

I don't know the exact answer either but I think the bacterias are coating themselves with our DNA so they look harmless to the immune system and therefore the immune system does not produce the necessary antibodies. The homeopathic imprint makes our immune system create the right antibodies which then attack the bacteria.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :-)

LOL - homeopathy is based on energy.

An electrician was working where I live today. I love talking to those people because they really understand that EVERYTHING in the world and universe is based on energy !

This one today stated without hesitation that physical things - this wall, that other object - are just stored energy.

This does seem to bother those who think only or mostly logically. I'm not sure WHY this upsets them so.

Have you ever seen the electrical imprint left when you cut a leaf in half. Can't remember what equipment was used, but the outline of the leaf remains even after cut off.

This is why they say amputees still feel itching from the amputated limb.

Wow, lots of people doing these nosodes. Glad to read some feedback from a few, all in one thread.

As to HOW homeopathy works, anyone who can explain it in scientific terms - and prove their assertions - will probably never be rich but they might become famous.

Maybe this will help (but probably not). [Smile]

Dr. Luc de Schepper, The People's Repertory :

quote:
``A homeopathic remedy creates a similar (not the same) artificial ``disease'' picture, not the disease itself, but information about the disease which helps the body to organize its defenses. As the body's vital energy pushes back like a rebound effect against the ``shadow disease'' created by the remedy, it also pushes the actual disease from the inside to the outside.''

Peter Alex, The Homeopathic Treatment of Lyme Disease :

quote:
``As in physics, when two waves of equivalent or very similar frequency merge, the same information or patterning in both is extinguished.''

[In a discussion about preventing Lyme Disease, he later goes on to say:] ``Ledum palustre (Labrador tea) is, for example, a remedy ...[that[ cures pains arising from joint inflammation, as well as the consequences of insect stings and the bites of poisonous creatures. Thus it appeared predestined to serve as a preventative remedy that could protect against Lyme Disease.''

``By providing the knowledge of Ledum to those afflicted by ticks, the infection ceases to be bound up with the knowledge of borreliosis (which presents a quite similar mistunement of the life force, and which is thus of the same frequency.) As described above, what takes place is a neutralization of both frequencies.....

``Here again we are obliged to recognize that the infection is not of a material, but a semiotic [informational?] nature. The Lyme bacteria are the material correlate of the infections disease, but they are not the disease itself.

``The Lyme nosode is produced from a bacterial culture of Borrelia burgdorferi. Nosodes often prove useful, when infectious diseases fasten themselves upon the constitution of the patient, regardless of prevailing weaknesses.

``There is need for applied research to determine if this likewise pertains to Lyme disease. The homeopathic proving of the Lyme nosodes has not been concluded ...... so that we are not yet able to make any conclusive assertions....''

Coltman, I might add that it is believed that the 'artificial disease' introduced by a homeopathic remedy is stronger than the physical disease, thus the body responds to it more readilty and more profoundly than the physical ailment.

I used the bart series but don't know if it helped as I did not herx. How do you repeat it? Do you start at the bottom again and work your way up? It seems like they would make the most potent dose and you would just continue to take that instead of starting over.

I haven't found any of the herbal/homeopathic remedies that helpful with bart. But taking them ALL at once along with abx might do something.
