Hey Street,

I wasn't really able to read your posts fully. Like alot of others here at lymenet, I can't really track too well with the words so close together like that.

If you could hit "ENTER" twice after every one or two sentences, it would make it much easier to read and more people will respond.

I did catch that you had a reactive band 41. I had that one too. Best I can tell is it means something's going on.

For a detailed explanation that actually gives you some information, go to
"MEDICAL QUESTIONS" ,

at the top of the category there is a topic called
"QUICK LINKS TO POPULAR TOPICS"

Click on that. Scroll down to
"WESTERN BLOT EXPLANATION"

That should give you all the info you need.

As for a doctor, did you go to "Seeking a Doctor"?

Good luck,

Carly.

Hi Street,

Welcome to Lymenet!

I'm sorry that you may have lyme, but you've come to a place where you can get support.

First, CFS is not a disease but a "syndrome", a group of symptoms with no known cause or cure. In other words: they recognize that you're fatigued, but don't know why.

Lyme causes great fatigue and many, many people found out that it was lyme that caused their CFS.

You should see a Lyme Literate MD (LLMD) and get properly diagnosed. You can find one by posting in the Seeking a Dr discussion.

Also, the tests are very unreliable and lyme is better diagnosed from clinical symptoms.

You should also educate yourself on lyme and it's coinfections. The best book to read is Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic by Pam Weintraub.

You should also see the documentary Under Our Skin, it's available on DVD or on Netflix.

Also read the Burrascano treatment guidelines for further understanding of what you may have:

http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

And you can read this explanation of how to interpret the Western Blot test:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/42077

Anyway, I hope this helps. Please come back and ask questions when you need to. You'll find we've all gone through what you're going through.

James

I lost a lot of weight and looked real bad, my mother said "horrific". I felt horrific for sure. I had adrenal insufficiency. I felt like I had an extremely bad hang over daily. I also ended up with a pituitary problem, sleep apnea, then the Lyme/co-infections. You may want to see an endocrinologist. I feel for you. Positive thoughts and prayers your way....I have read there are some good Dr's in your area. Someone will post about them hopefully.
