Do you have mono or the Epstein virus which is responsible for Mono? All of us have Epstein Bar--90 % of world's pop but that's different than an active mono infection. I've never had mono...
I dont know..i tested positive 3 xs with ELISA tests and i'm late stage Lyme..which is unusual i've heard to have antibodies show up in late stage prior to treatment.

I have had mono in the past(actually twice) but I don' t have an
"active" infection but I do have high IgG antibodies. I was tested for
lyme and had a positive ELISA but a negative Western Blot so I was
wondering if the ELISA could be positive due to the EBV.

Cross-reactivity may be a possibility, Mallory. However, it usually takes acute mono (EBV) infection to cause a false positive, but if you have chronic mono (controversial) I suppose it's possible.
I'm not overly familiar with the ELISA though since its not a well-regarded test to begin with.
Igenex offers a band 31 confirmation test to essentially rule out a cross reaction via EBV and other agents.
You may want to try to get a western blot performed when you're on xmas break...preferably through Igenex.
It seems EBV and lyme can often go hand in hand. This study is dense but touches on crossreactivity and the interplay between both pathogens.
