Thanks for posting this article. I don't think it is an antibiotic question here. It is a money driven question ... with the IDSA pulling the chains of the government agencies.

Yup its pretty bad. I think abx should be banned compltely from food producing. most abx resistance is actually stemming from abx use in farming , not from abx for human use

US food production... it doesn't explain the wide spread super bug resistance with abx around the globe?

It depends. its not only US which uses abx , and US does export lots of meat. Bacteria can easily strains spread around the world with trade
