I take Ascorbic C (just started) and the brand that I got was Pure Buffered Ascorbic Acid. I do not know if it helps yet but I do know that I have tried other forms of Vit C and could not tolerate it. This one is well tolerated.

I've been taking 10 gm (yes, that's GRAMS not mg) of Pure Encapsulations Ascorbic Acid for 3 years per my Docs instructions.
It is well tolerated, however, I had to start with a lower dosage and then work my way up to the 10 grams - or 10 1000mg caps - a day. I get the big 250 cap bottles from Acupuncture Atlanta.
I can't say whether it really helps or not. I've always taken it with so many other things that it's hard for me to credit any one thing with helping.
