I have alot of health problems caused by lyme and bartonella and am wondering the safest benign way to detox. I have so many conditions I take meds for (Heart, thyroid, low salt), I am on iv rocephin and oral zithromax, tindamax now for antibiotics and my doc suspects ehrlichiosis and wants to put me on doxy. I'm afraid of herbs now since I'm on antibiotics and having alot of hormonal things going on. In general, I'm a mess, but functional. Any suggestions? Good health to all.

How about coffee enemas. Anyone think they work well for detoxing?

Read Allergie Immune threads.

Basically you need to be able to detox before trying to use detox remedies.

Otherwise you just move the toxins around!

Must open up the detox pathways for all of the above to work effectively.

Look at Dr. K"s sites for clearer explanations.

Please provide a link to Dr. K's site and the clearer explanations for opening up the detox pathways!!

I'm convinced my pathways have iron gates on them.

It depends on what you want to detox. But detox food pads don't do anything, they simply turn brown when they come into contact with salt water... including your sweat so don't waste your money there.

Allergie Immune is a homeopathy based treatment that doesn't have any science backing it up. It's based on the story that water has memory, which is always a problem with reality since chemistry and physics and real world observation shows that to be false. But if you believe in unknown untestable random energy for any reason then maybe you can justify paying good money for water. (people will argue about this and say just cause you can't see it or test it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, when they do send them to me and i'll sell them water for $120/ounce, or sand or HCl for that matter.)

Saunas are darn good for detoxing practically anything, and all FIR saunas work equally well (just make sure they don't use any glues or finishes), there are some differences between ceramic and carbon heaters, but don't believe these manufacturers that claim theirs emits radiation in tune with your body while they're charging twice what someone else is that has everything you need.

Coffee enemas and salt baths detox, but if you're worried about metals in your brain you'd need to kick it up a notch, so like i said... depends on what you want to detox.

Man I just take hot baths and sit there for 30 minutes while drinking lemon water.

That is the bomb detox.

I can literally feel the toxins draining from my body.

OOOOOO and definitely get a lymph drainage massage. or if you can't.... buy a mini-trapoline at academy and bounce on a trampoline every day or every other day.

This will get the toxins cycling in your body... then drain em with exercise, saunas, water, etc

but I def recommend lymph draining. I've been doing it for 1 week and have noticed a huge lessening of swelling. Especially back of my head/neck, behind my knees, and by my clavical.

I do the mini trampoline(rebounder) too; and take epsom salt baths, which I use to not be able to handle, but recently I can and they do help. Also I drink tons of water, sometimes with lemon.

I've noticed that when I do the mini trampoline... the first couple of times... I herx a bit (emotional stuff... like mood swings/crying)
nothing big... but definitely something happening. sure it's from all the waste being poured into the bloodstream. has to do SOMETHING ha

It keeps happening around my lymph drainage stuff.

I LOVE coffee enemas for detox. They would typically raise how I felt by 30%. It was dramatic, so much so, my kids would offer to make me a pot of coffee on bad days.

Also,
FIR sauna
rebounding
lymphatic drainage massage
exercise!!
epsom salt baths

I liked the Hulda Clark liver cleanses. I also like the Dr. Natura cleanse.

"But if you believe in unknown untestable random energy for any reason"

LOL on that one.
The energy can be tested electrically.
How can it be random ? It is just the opposite of that, it is very specific.

FIS is excellent, IME. Apparently Dr. K does not recommend them too early in a detox program. IMO the differences in the quality of the saunas is vast. To say there is no difference is like saying there is no difference between a Chevy Blazer and a Toyota Land Rover.

Mini-trampolines are also excellent but cheaper ones mat eventually mess up your ankles / knees etc.

Getting detox organs - liver, large intestine, lungs, lymph, kidneys, skin etc into better shape before detoxing will get toxins out better instead of recirculating those toxins.

They make dry brushes out of natural bristles for the purpose of brushing the skin. It is to stimulate lymph flow.

If they can test the energy electrically why don't they do that and publish it?
But I already know the answer to that, trust me water doesn't store any electrical energy. It actually won't even conduct electricity unless it has ions dissolved in it.

If you're curious to test it out, get an digital multimeter and stick it in any homeopathic medicine and ground, then stick it in your tap water and ground. Or if you want you could use an LED(light emitting diode) connected between water and ground.. trust me, it isn't going to light up.

I am not sure how to respectfully ask this question, because each time I start to post it, I get to laughing so hard that I just delete it...

Please will someone tell me how to do a coffee enema, and why it has to go in that way in order to work?

Any particular brand? I drink Dunkin' Donuts dark roast....it is expensive! Can't imagine putting that where the (oh, you know where I am going with this!)

I have all sorts of potential advertising campaigns in my head for the coffee makers regarding this use of their product (hah!)

Sorry-having entirely too much fun with this....but interested enough in detox methods that work to ask the question and risk offending....hope I didn't....and hope that you all can see the extreme humor in this! That, and the thought of me jumping on a trampoline...often give me amusement when I am feeling icky! [lol]

Canefan--

I am getting my first Lymphatic Drainage massage treatment next week. I know to drink lots of water before and after, and that there's a good chance I'll feel bad the next day.

But I'm curious...what was your experience? Did you feel worse afterwards? (And then better, I'd hope.)

Activated Charcoal:

Detox drink: Cut up one whole lemon, 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix in a blender until smooth, strain and drink. Works great.

"water doesn't store any electrical energy."

No, it doesn't. It can store the memory of it.
I have seen some patients respond very positively to homeopathics. That is reality, not theory.

Anna,

i felt really tired when I left and the day after.

You just feel hungover.

But the most noticeable thing is the swelling in my lymph nodes is going down (I also use a mini trampoline)

Swelling behind my knees, back of head, and clavicle area... the swelling is down.

Just heard that someone uninformed made some remarks about Allergie Immun. I am glad that the world is not flat any longer and that water is recognized as the source of all life; that water stores and transmits information.

Water is an energy carrier. Water carries information/frequencies.

Allergie Immun therapy has nothing in common with homeopathy whatsoever. It is always a good idea to inform oneself about a subject matter before ridiculing it. Thousands of people have done and many are doing the therapy with very positive results. Order their Study.

I started it the earliest and have the scientific proof that it works. Up to that point, I believe in proof by experience which is just as good or faulty as other methods of group trials.

I urge you to take a look at this and then possibly take a look at the AI website and do some translating. It may surprise you. But please don't shout bad words. Imprinted in water they may look like some of these ----

http://www.life-enthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm

Water carries messages.

Take care.

By the way, regarding Far Infrared Sauna use:

You can get the metals out, or you can move more into the brain and central nervous system. It depends on your condition and timing. Toxic metals are not easy or painless to remove from the Central Nervous System. It's a chore that has been tried for many years and not always successful. So don't do it, unless you know more than anybody else. Do it only under supervision.
It's a good idea to rule out that you are not allergic to toxic metals (with AI) and that you have no genetic dysregulation for foods. All plays a big role in detoxing anything, but mainly metals. Take care.

Sick Tick,

You can google Coffee Enema and get lots of sites. Look at this one, for example
http://www.sawilsons.com/basicenema.htm

I know it sounds very odd. Some people REALLY like them and get good effects.

I was alarmed after my 1st lymphatic drainage, because I went to the bathroom right after and my urine was brown. My LLMD said that was the stuff draining. I haven't had that happen since, I guess because the lymphs weren't so full of the stuff.

One cleanse my LLMD has had me do a couple of times is the Internal Cleanse by Blessed Herbs. It is expensive, but it cleans all pathways (and w/o diarrhea). It is well thought out and so organized! Even a Lyme brain can do it.

The 2nd time I used it, just recently, my fatigue cleared up wonderfully.

As far as detox foot pads, I wasn't so sure I was sold on them. One thing I did notice was that I slept better while doing them. I didn't find out that was a claim until today.

I never used them past the 15 days, but you are supposed to until you go clear (or something like that). This time around they were much lighter and I believe it is because I did the Internal Cleanse not too long ago.

My LLMD recommends the ones from healthmarvels.net
