Started my new treatment before Christmas. Once I added the Flagyl I had a nervous breakdown...literally. I had to be hospitalized. Spoke to LLMD office yesterday.
They seemed puzzled a bit which worries me. My old abx treatments aren't working.
They called back last night and request I do the following.
Low Dose Naltrexone Glutathione..the oral form Bur Bur and Parsley detox
I have to say I am scared as heck. I have never taken the above two.
My main problems now are neck pain. Feels like tight muscle spasms, temple pain and anxiety.
This is all making me doubt that I am dealing with a relapse.
Really scared of the above two products.
Anyone else have experience with these.
So feeling down, kitkat

Glutathione is wonderful. I didn't have much luck with it orally, though some do. I had better luck drinking whey protein (a precursor) then doing a coffee enema to trigger glutathione production.
Burbur is GREAT! Love it!
Never had the other.

Boy, does it stink! I had a bottle here but it was expired so I have to wait for my new bottle to arrive.
LLMD said to mix it with pomegranite juice. I doubt anything will kill that taste.
I am still nervous. Haven't heard of others taking the other one. It is an opiod receptor blocker. It used to be used when patients where going through rehab.
Apparently...according to LLMD..Mayo clinic has been doing research on it. It is still not approved for anti-inflammatory properties or detox.

There's an entire thread on low dose naltrexone. Use the search to find it. Helps build up your immune systme. I've been on it 6 months and have had no side effects.
Others have though so check out the thread.

Oh yeah! Stinks BAD! How on earth can you tell if it goes bad? Nasty. Nothing will kill the taste. Just take it like a shot and drink something strong as a chaser.

- Burbur is wonderful.
If you are jolted from the taste or smell of anything, get yourself a bottle of liquid magnesium and nothing will every be too bad to tolerate again.
As for expiration date, call and ask about that. Sometimes, certain products are still good (especially if not exposed to high heat - how hot have your past summers been?).
Pomegranite juice is VERY tart. So be ready for that. Be sure to add water. If drinking just for pleasure, you can add stevia. But I'd not add that to a herbal dose.

Hi Kitkat: I am taking the glutathione and it really helps. I also had extreme reactions to abx - haven't taken Flagyl yet tho my LLMD says it's in my future - and he had me do a great deal of detoxing with burbur, parsley, and another herbal remedy - and that has also really helped. I believe that a herx can make a person crazy enough to be hospitalized so I would not rule Lyme out for that reason. Hang in there. You got better once and you can do it again.

Thank you everyone for your support. You don't know how much it means to me.
I will search the low dose natrextone....duh..I didn't even think of doing that.
I called the company for the GSH and since it expired in June they said it would be best not to take it.
Please cross some fingers for me. I am so discouraged. I worked so hard in nursing school and now I can't be a nurse yet. I am scared of being so sick and I am so sad that yet again my dream is put on hold.

Kit: A month or so ago I was in total despair. I had to stop working, quit school (I'd gotten into a PhD program & I was incredibly excited about it.) I had intractable pain, could not sleep, and was completely crazy in the head with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and rage. I felt as if I had completely lost my life. Then I went to our mutual LLMD and I am doing so much better now. I am back at work, feeling good physically, my pain is managed and my energy is back up. I know I have more pain and suffering in my future, but I trust that those guys really know how to get me well. You will get well too. If you want a Lyme buddy just pm me and I will send you my phone # Yours in pain and healing, Pam
