Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to stop these or know what they are from???
I had them prior to starting abx then they stopped, now they are back worse than ever.
Thank you to everyone for always answering my questions......all advice is very much appreciated.

OUCH on that!
I am sorry you are having the ice pick blues. I've had them and it isn't nice.
I went to a chiropractor and it was a pinched nerve. Happened several times... and after suffering then being able to get help...
I always go back to chiro when they come back.
Hope that helps.
PS .. I am not a doctor and this is not meant to diagnose you. Only a doctor can do that. Good luck!!!

Stabbing pain is a neuropathic descriptor, does not reveal its cause though. Magnesium, dextromethorphan, amitriptyline, amantadine are all NMDA receptor inhibitors and the use of these medications frequently helps with neuropathic pain of a chronic type. If Bartonella caused a facet arthritis in the neck then gentle manipulation may be helpful. . . might try ibuprofen first though as it is probably equally likely to help.
Enjoying a new day,

Daughter had them. Believe it is from Bartonella.
Hope you feel better.

Bartonella. I get them. Horrible sensations, but ice pick headaches usually only last a few seconds for me.
The pain is strong during those few seconds, and they are disturbing to say the least.

Yes, they do only last a few seconds at a time, but I seem to get them in waves where those few seconds of sharp pain occur every few minutes over a period of a few hours.
Great way to ruin your day!!

Yes, at the most, I have had the pain a few times an hour. I couldn't imagine it every few minutes. I don't know if I could stand that.
