Our pharmacy just said a 20 day supply of Alinia will cost $800.

Anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks

Yes, Larkspur, it's like Mepron - Ridiculously expensive! I've fogotten what my pharm quoted me, but came to the conclusion it wasn't worth it. Did your doc just rx it for you, or did you ask for it? If it was your inquiry, you might want to do a search on this site for threads / posts from "glm1111", AKA Gael. She's our resident parasite person.

Best to you.

I order it from overseas, and it's quite cheap:

My LLMD knows I do this.

I think it was a more 'subtle' drug than Mepron- I added it on top of Mepron for babesia, though it's also used for other microscopic parasites- and it eventually did a lot for my symptoms. It took several months- the first course of it that I did (21 days) made me 'herx' but it wasn't obvious that it caused improvements at the time.

yes, get it from Canada. there's a numer of canadian pharmacies selling it for about $80 a month (US$).

The price for buying overseas fairly recently dropped from $700 or so to this newer price.

It is INSANELY expensive in the US.
