i have heard that it shouldn't be taken with mepron (but that is not an abx., it is antimalaria). it reduces the absorption rate of mepron in the body from what i have read from others.

- JunkYardWily, ask your doctor.
No, this is not another thing about "milk thistle not being so hot" - Please read all this liver links and it will become clearer. It's rather complex.
But, always, ask your doctor. Read what all the LL authors suggest. -

Oh come on, that's so not true. the first one of those that I opened the ingredient lists to contained grapefruit, which is a major drug interaction issue. I looked at a few others (without looking up drug interactions for the herbs other than a few I knew off the top of my head) and found dandelion, red root, grapefruit again, and other stuff that interacts with various drugs.

MariaA - combining specific parts of specific herbs changes how those specific parts then work.
The sum is greater than the total of the parts.
Does the energy and performance of a team change when different players are used ? Or did Michael Jordan perform by himself when other specific teammates were on the court with him ?
One herb when used by itself can have certain side effects. But it can be specifically blended with others so side effects are greatly decreased or eliminated. That is one of the basic things Systemic Formulas and Inno-Vita products are based on.
If I don't really understand something I do not attack + belittle it.
