I am currently being treated with acyclovir along with doxy, mepron, biaxin, nystatin and rocephin and bicillin shots. My LLMD wanted to hit everything at once.

Yeah, a while ago I ran Valtrex with my abx. It's effective for EBV but not so much for HHV-6, which Valcyte can be used for. Valcyte can be really rough on the liver though.
I agree that it's a good idea to suppress any active viruses if possible.

I am currently on acyclovir, doxy and oxymatrine (a Chinese herb used for battling enteroviruses).
We are doing our best to treat both viral and bacterial pathogens that have reactivated in me.

My daughter was taking Valtrex along with Doxy and Tindimax. She was having trouble walking due to balance issues so we stopped it to see if it was causing it.

I take Amantadine as well as Bicillin shots. I don't know if it helps or not.

Thanks for your replies
B4lyme - Wow! That's a lot - how do you feel???
jkmom - how is your daughter doing?
It just seems to me, that the viral counts would have to be addressed as well but it doesn't seem to be the norm.
Have any of you noticed any benefits from it?

I can usually tell when the viruses are having a hay day and the symptoms they cause
The anti virals do help with lowering or getting rid of those symptoms but they have not helped overall in getting my whole condition into remission or that sort of thing.
So I used it for controlling those symptoms while It try to lower the loads of other things and boost the immune system and detox.
Hoping that my body will kick in at the time It can to do this work without drugs.
I hope for that anyway... someday..
