Levaquin made my tendons in my shoulders so sore I couldn't lift my arms. Rifampin burns my IC bladder. What to do....Any other choices?

I had bad tendon probs with levaquin. switched to cipro. one small tendon gave me trouble. then off bart meds.

back on bart meds, was on rifabutin and did ok. then had to switch back to cipro so I could take mepron for babs.

this time...no troubles with cipro at all. maybe that one tendon was still messed up from levaquin?

Maybe Bactrim DS? Or Cipro or Factive + load up on magnesium?

Doxy or Zith should hit bartonella a little, although perhaps not cure -- an alternative would be to take one of those for a while, so you wouldn't have to take a quinolone quite so long (that's what my doc tends to recommend).
