So I've been doing really well for years. Up until just the last few months...and in the last few weeks I've started to have more weird flair ups. I used to get them all the time in the beginning.

Basically the brain fog gets real bad, my heart starts pounding, I get dizzy, sick to my stomach and often get the shakes. It's a spell that will usually last for a day and then the next morning I'm better. I'm in the middle of one right now and am feeling like I'm dying [Frown]

What the heck is this? Lyme? Bart? Babesia? I'm currently taking Mepron and Zithromax...

When my husband flares like this, it's always Babesia. Are you responding to the Mepron/Zith?

I agree with Lymetoo, as well. Symptoms sound like mine when I'm hypo or hyperglycemic. Are you on a low carb diet?

I am Hypoglycemic and I do have to watch my blood sugar. I'm sure that contributes to it...but there is something else going on too.

Maybe it is the Babesia...I haven't been sure. I have a hard time tolerating the Mepron so the amounts I take are a lot smaller than what most people would be taking. Maybe it's not enough to do the job?

Any chance this could be a herx from the Mepron? Of course this was going on before I started the Mepron....

My husband sweats on Babesia treatment, but not with flares. That's how he tells if his meds are working.
