If so, what was it used for? It has a few uses, but my llmd psych started me on it yesterday to offset the anafranil that I take for ocd. If you do, what milligrams do you take?
Thanks - good health.

I have been taking Lamictal (150mg) at bedtime for several years.
It is a mood stabilizer and it really does help me. I just feel better with it and I am not so up and down as I had been.
One doctor (not my usual one) told me that he thought it was a wonder drug.
I hope it helps you!

Lamictal is also used for seizures. I was taking it for a short while to calm down the severe neuro activity I was having. The nerves in my head all the way down to my feet were in constant over drive.
Had to stop because my liver enzymes went through the roof.

I was given this a few years ago (before I knew I had lyme) for Bipolar. That is what my doc thought was wrong with me. Now I think it was just lyme. But anyways, read the label for side effects and warnings. I had an allergic reaction to it. A rash on my legs. So had to stop taking it. Best of luck!

I was just put on it for seizures. I'm on a very low dose of 12.5 mg. I will be working my way up. I'm very sensitive to most meds.

I just started on it about 12 days ago for a mood disorder. I am doing 25mg for 2 weeks, then 50mg 2 weeks and so on to get to a theraputic dose of 100mg or more.

Not sure, I take generic and it can be expensive, depending on your insurance. I paid $200 the first year and now only $5! Not sure how that all works??
