Buhner recommends 100mg Art 3x daily for 30-40 days.
Has anybody taken it this way?

Red Root. Any experiences with this detox herb?

Artemesinin makes me herx alot. I take it one day on & a couple of days off. I think the caps I have are 500mg. I just take 1.

I don't think it's good to take it every day. You may want to start off with a low dose.

I take Art and it seems to be working. I take it 3 weeks on and 1 week off according to my llmd's orders.

I read something about after the 3rd week something builds up and you need a week off.

According to one doctor who's name I can't mention here - it builds up in 5 days - not 3 weeks. Not sure why there are differences in treatment. I don't know who is correct.

I've taken Artemisin for 30 days at SB's dosage twice and haven't noticed any change in condition; same with cryptolepsis.

I've read different advice about pulsing at a higher dose, but I think you have to leave a gap after because the cell wall secretes an enzyme that prevents the absorption of art: either you pulse it or take it with grapefruit juice, which stops the formation of the enzyme.

Canefan17, I think I have heard 5 days from several sources, but have also read about MDs suggesting a break of one week after 3 weeks of use.

When I tried it at 500mg or 600mg per day, I took it for 4 or 5 days, then had a 3 day break.

Artemisinin vs Artemisia Annua

One is a single constituent and one is the whole herb(which has artemsinin)

When it coems to resistance and worrying about artemsisin needing to be pulsed...

That would only be the case if you were taking the single constituent.

It's why many herbalists/MD's (Buhner, Zhang, etc) recommend Artemisia Annua (the whole plant)

When do you start to notice it helps if you are pulsing it?

We are 4 days on and three days off, cycle #8. Therefore, been doing this 2 months.

Thanks

I took a ton or the whole herb 10 grams plus a day for a while and it did diddlysquat.
Artemisinin gave me a big herx and is an excellent herb. In my experience the whole herb is not any use.

I took 1500 mg of art for 5 days and dropped down to 900mg from then on and I found it lost its effectiveness somewhere around 2 weeks.

I am on a break right now and will pulse it from now on.
