So I switched from 400mg Doxy to Biaxin / amantadine for the summer.

I had been making great progress on Doxy but hated being a vampireavoiding the sun.
Since swithing to Biaxin I've held my ground but haven't made progress. It seems I'm on the lowest dose according to Dr B. What are others on?

Okay...me too. 500mg 2x/day = 1000mg. I take with 200mg of Amantadine.

I don't think it is hurting me. But I don't necessarily feel any better either. It is like I"m in a holding pattern. Feel pretty good, but have lingering symptoms.

Biaxin 2 500mg 2 x a day. 5 days on. 2 days off. Plus Tindamax 250mg 2 x a day, Same 2 days off. Rocephin 2Gm IM 4 days a week, every other week. Rifampin 600 mg 5 days on 2 off. I "turned the corner" when LLMD took me off Zithro onto Biaxin and added Riphampin. I have been feeling 95% since start of May. Only have drug hangover for 2 cups of coffee and 1/2 hr. from sleep meds. Good luck God bless. Buzz

I was on 500 mg 2x/day each of ceftin and biaxin for 2.5 months, along with plaquenil and welchol. Did nothing for me, so LLMD switched me last week...kept the welchol/plaquenil, but replaced the ceftin/biaxin with zith/rifampin...still no change thus far...
