just curious about what everyone else is taking for a flagyl dose? Daily or pulsed?

I take 1500-2000mg flagy daily for 4 days X 2 weeks.

My neuro symptoms have kicked in, but are managable. Thanks [hi]

kimmie,

That seems like an awfully high dose. Are you a large person? Keep tabs on those neuro symptoms as they can escalate rapidly and are a red flag to stop.

Thanks Marrit, I am 120lbs. It is my muscle twitching that is my worst symptom on flagyl.

I'm 35 yo male, 6'2" and weigh 210 lbs.

I pulse 1000 mg Flagyl (500 mg 2x / day) for 3 days every 2 weeks.

It's working well for me. I'm 95% most days...sometimes better!

Currently on:

Currently at around 95% +/- most days.

I took it everyday for months on end. Nightmare!

I can't remember my dosage, but don't think it was ever more than 750mg a day. It liked to have killed me.

When we pulse flagyl, we bust the cysts open...but what happens when we stop and continue with our other meds? it just reverts back again?

LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl

No...it busts the cysts and kills them or else it busts the cysts and then whatever other abx you are on (doxy, biaxin, zith, etc) kills them.

Kimmie's dose is a normal dose. It is usually 500 mg 3 or 4 times per day for every day treatment. When you pulse the dose is usually increased to 750 mg 4x per day, for a normal body weight. Most of the doses I hear people taking are very low, so this is nice to see. Flagyl is essential to getting well. [Wink]
