Sorry to hear!

Be SURE you are taking it with food. After eating some food, not before.

That 20 minute thing sounds about right for the "YULK, I didn't eat enough food before taking the meds."

Also, if a different kind (caps, pills, brands) of doxy, it could be a problem. Some folks do well on one kind but not others.

Hope that helps, if not, please let us know!

Having same issues. Started adoxa (suppose to be easier on stomach) 2 days ago and it's tough on the stomach and can feel a herx. Had no problems with azith, bactrim or rifampin

Best wishes

it came in waves of pure hell! it would let up

and then come right back for around 5 hours

finally letting up enough for me to fall asleep,

woke up this morning and had to run to the

bathroom and nausea continued for about 45 mins.

I think it was just really hard on my stomach.

someone else mentioned doryx a slow release doxy

i called my dr and she called this in for me. My

insurance doesnt kick in for 30 days and the

pharm. said it would be $1200.00 for a month

supply of fo doryx! I called the company that

makes it and they had a card where you can get

it for no more then $25 a month! what a relief!

so im going to pick up this and see if it helps.

Im kind of nervous to take this one, i dont want

to relive last night it was horrible! but in

pursuit of killing bacteria I will pray and

swallow the darn pill!

Geo, what is adoxa? is that a form of doxy?

You can purchase marshmallow from vita cost and it helps with the stomach issues. I take one with every dose of antibiotic. Helps.
