Please let me know what dosages of rifampin do you take, and do you take it once or twice daily?

600mg in the morning 1 hour before breakfast.

No evening dose.

I take 600mg (2 pills) 1 hr before dinner. It makes me feel horrible so this way at least I sleep through the worst of it [Smile]

Funny..my Rx bottle says take 1 300mg pill 2x / day. But I'm following Dr. S's protocol who says 600mg 1x / day. He is more experienced.

They say it is best if used in the evening (but not at bedtime) on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 3 hours after a meal. Or, you can use it in the morning an hour before breakfast. That is what I do..I tried the PM routine but it was too challenging for me. Morning is easier.

I could only handle 75mg of this per day. Tried 300mg a few times....eeek.. for me anyway.
