I'm sure MOM in TX will fix uyou up, but this is some additional info you may find handy.
You can go to www.VirginiaLyme.org and look at the menu on your left you will see DOCTOR REFERRALS. It has listings for all states that have Lyme docs.
It also has links to help find alternative doctors, chiropractors, specialists in Morgellons and MTHFR.
It has a listing for good labs (including IGeneX), links to find a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturists, oriental medicine doctors, holistic dentists, experts in mold and places to avoid are listed there.
Here is a "Help For You" page in the event it is needed.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Please read the following about LLMDs and Texas which was recently posted about TX:
"Texas is not a great place to find a good Lyme doctor. Texas threatens its Lyme doctors and gets them to move or stop practicing without notice.
Then, if they start up again a year or so later, they do it to them again. So, there really are few Lyme doctors there and no top notch ones.
Because of the sorry state of affairs in Texas, many folks from Texas are coming to the East Coast for testing and treatment for Lyme disease and it's co-infections.

Actually, there's one good one in Texas, he's one of the best I've seen. The dude wanted me to take 4 abx at once + plaquenil, I think he's plenty aggressive with his treatment. I strongly regret not sticking with him in the beginning of my treatment. And I've been to Maryland, Missouri, and Louisiana too.
He "got in trouble" several years ago but he's been back to treating Lyme for a long time now. To my knowledge he's the only one who has ever been disciplined for properly treating Lyme in Texas.

I second that SickSam. I treated elsewhere for 15 months and got "stuck". I went to "the dude" and only needed to be treated for 8 months to get it right. I don't understand why this LLMD doesn't get the credit he deserves. Very big on collecting data, analyzing, and always looking for the ideal treatment. Constantly researching and attending seminars.

The top notch lyme doc I know who used to practice in Texas was forced to leave Texas when the state medical board began to threaten the doctor she worked with.
This was many years ago. At least 10 years ago. So, I think many respond to the threat so the board doesn't even have to go all the way to the disciplining stage.
People see the handwriting on the wall and just leave or quit treating lyme in Texas.
