Anyone have suggestions for a llmd anywhere that has experience with gastroparesis?
My daughter has been treating lyme and co-inf for 1 yr on orals and 6 weeks IV. She has developed gastroparesis and just spend 9 days in the hospital on TPN. She is home but still not able to eat or drink much.
Threw up yesterday's am meds and her dinner 14 hours before came out. Her primary care giver is not convinced that the gastroparesis is lyme related, but says he can't prove that it's not (has read Bell's Palsy of the Gut article). Wants to send her somewhere like Mayo, but doesn't know where.
The wait is 2 years for a local motility specialists, but her dr might be able to get her seen sooner. Don't know his view on lyme. Would like a llmd dr! Our llmd is out of state and says my daughter is the worse case of GI lyme he has seen. We love our llmd, but now need more specialized care.
I'm afraid her nutrition and hydration is not up to the level it should be to continue IV without closer monitoring. Would consider moving somewhere temporarily.
Additionally she needs better pain management! Hopefully it will subside with proper treatment, but...
Any suggestions?

gastroparesis medical body text any text leave membership blank; hit send!
here are results!
read most current to see who has this and then send them a PM asking them what LLMD they are seeing for this illness!!!

Go to the LDA page and look for presentations. There is a video there by Dr. M. F. from N.J.....he's a pediatric gastroenterologist. He's written many articles and authored some abstracts on this subject.
If you can't get to him, perhaps your LLMD can consult him.
