Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul;
the other for your freedom.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON,
AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM. I was humbled by this thought

Thought for the day........ "Too much of our work
amounts to the drudgery of arranging means toward ends, mechanically placing the right foot in front of the left and the left in front of the right, moving down narrow corridors toward narrow goals. Play widens the halls. Work will always be with us, and many works are worthy. But the worthiest works of all often reflect an artful creativity that looks more like play than work." James Ogilvy

Dear God,
Help me to be a good sport in this game of life. I don't ask for an easy place in the lineup. Put me anywhere you need me.

I only ask that I can give you 100% of everything I have. If all the hard drives come my way, I thank you for the compliment.

Help me remember that you never send a player more trouble than he can handle. And help me, Lord, to accept the bad breaks as part of the game.

May I always play on the square, no matter what the others do. Help me to study the Book so I'll know the rules.

Finally, God, if the natural turn of events goes against me and I'm benched for sickness or old age, help me to accept that as part of the game too.

Keep me from whimpering that I was framed or that I got a raw deal.

And when I finish the inning, I ask for no laurels. All I want is to believe in my heart that I played as well as I could, and that I didn't let you down.

Thought for the day....... "We must be steady enough in ourselves, to be open and to let the winds of life blow through us, to be our breath, our inspiration; to breathe with them, mobile and soft in the limberness of our bodies, in our agility, our ability, as it were, to dance, and yet to stand upright." 1. Time
2. Words
3. Opportunity

Three things in life that can destroy a person

2. Pride
3. Unforgiveness

Three things in life that you should never lose

1. Hope
2. Peace
3. Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable

1. Love
2. Family & Friends
3. Kindness

Three things in life that are never certain

1. Fortune
2. Success
3. Dreams

Three things that make a person

1. Commitment
2. Sincerity

Three things that are truly constant

Father - Son - Holy Spirit

I ask the Lord to bless you,
as I pray for you today;
to guide you and protect you,
as you go along your way.

God's love is always with you,
God's promises are true.
And when you give God all your cares,
you know God will see you through.

The Bell
=========

I really hope you take the time to read it all. I've held many
things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I've placed in God's hands that I still possess.

Just up the road from my home is a field with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is
blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind
friend know where she is, so he can follow her. As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray.

When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. God watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little
ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.

Good friends are like this. You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

Thought for the day....... "The color of the skin makes no difference. What is good and just for one is good and just for the other, and the Great Spirit made all men brothers. I have red skin, but my grandfather was a white man. What does it matter? It is not the color of the skin that makes me good or bad. " White Shield (Arikara Chief)
