Sofy: Yes, those flashing light kind of things drive me nuts too. But it takes too much effort to jump up and scream.
I'm such a grouch, and I know it's because I'm sick.
When my sons were little, they used to watch Sesame Street. My favorite character was Oscar the Grouch -- he got all the best lines!
Grouchily yours, Carol

This is weird...
When I was a little girl (3 or 4) I would see flashing lights as I laid in bed trying to go to sleep.
Really weird part, my identical twin sister could see the flashing lights too--we would lay in bed and talk about them--look at the flashing pretty lights over their--look they are moving across the room. We may even have been as young as two...
On several occasions we would see images in the flashing lights--like fairy coaches or some such non-sense... We both still remember this!
We discussed this as adults and thought we were having a shared dreams or hallucination. No matter how weird that sounds--when you have an identical twin--you don't doubt some things--there is just a connection there like no other.
Infact, my Dad, who is the original "Linear Man" doesn't ever question any kind of "feelings" or "happenings" between the two of us, we have too many things happen that are too coincidental.
As we got older we quit seeing the flashing lights and really mourned their demise.
The other night my four year old was in the bed with me--and he said, "Look mom, can you see the cloud of shiny insects?" I couldn't see them, but I knew exactly what he was talking about! Now I am wondering if they are Lyme related.
I have been noticing a lot of floaters. If you close your eyes and try to "see" with your eyes closed--do you see any shiny flashing lights?
If anyone was uncertain of my insanity--I have confirmed it!
