Mddog,
I will second the trout in butter. Yikes cant wait now.
IF your interested, here are the state records for fish in our state. I know you are bound to be there in a couple weeks!! (tee hee)

http://www.ngpc.state.ne.us/fishing/guides/fishguide/FGrecords.asp?recordtype=1

If you scroll down to see what species you want you will see the whoopers weights. like :

brook trout-- 5# 1 oz.
cut throat trout-- 5# 7 oz.
Brown trout-- 20# 1 oz.(Caught in Snake river by Valentine.)

Here are the 'big boys'!!! How long would it take to eat one of 'these'???

(The last three record fish all caught at Merrit at Valentine). Channel catfish --2 fish at 41# 8 oz. small one of 39# 0 oz.
Flathead catfish--80#
Blue catfish-- 100# 8 oz.

NOW you know whats awaiting your next 'cast', cant catch them till you get your hook wet. or like my grandpa always said every time we crossed a creek or could 'see' water. "Did you see the bobber go down???" he was quite a fisherman and NEVER owned a tackle box, used a 5 gallon tin bucket instead and had a board along to sit on(bucket and board). Course my grandmother had a wonderful garden a block long that fed half the town and she NEVER owned a garden hose. I used to get the job of hoeing it!!! or pulling the pull type cultivator. I was the horse, somebody else was the driver!! Better quit on the memory parade, I might not ever stop!!

See ya at the pond, lake, stream, awe just any water!! Did you see the bobber go down????cuz I still B --just don-- with a sore [bonk]

I guess we need more floaters. NO sinkers(or stinkers) allowed.(Brings up interesting story, true, from past experience. Ask me) Fishermen or women welcome. Museum or fossil enthusists too. Campers or motelers, all the same.

There has GOT to be somebody out there interested in such activity??? I "CANT" hear you????? Last minute plans are the very best, try it, may like it!!!

Maddog,

Any chance you have an extra trout fishing pole laying around,,, that I can ,,,rent from you???Throw it in and we will negotiate your FEE!! Otherwise have to go shopping for something I dont need but once a lifetime!! NO trout streams here.

Also looking for an extra chaise lounge lawn chair(old kind that laid down pretty flat about 12" off ground). Makes a good cot away from home, when all else fails(and it rains)(oops, whats THAT???)

Be waiting for you at Keller. I can cover any early arrivals.
