Hi all (hope everyone is feeling better). Recently, A lyme doc in Illinois closed practice. The problem is, I used to go to that doctor and they have my medical records. I switched to another doctor in Illinois, andn ever had them fully tansferred ( yeah I know, this is mostly my fault). If anyone knows:
1. why this doctor closed up shop
2. a way to get my full and complete records
please let me know. I left numerous messages on their answering machine, but never got a call back. Now the number is disconnected.
Thanks.

Probably run out of town. They are trying to eliminate all lyme docs in the country.

I think this is the doc who has Lyme herself, but I could be wrong.
I think if this was me I would send a certified or registered letter with a signature required requesting copies of my medical records. Maybe the mail is being forwarded to a home address? It is worth a try.

Thanks for the input so far. I appreciate it.
I certainly hope she didn't get lyme. If so, that would explain the sudden closure.

Mike, she closed shop because of her lyme disease. Many of her patients are heading to WI. to get treated. You can send me a Private message if you'd like the doctor contact info.
