Hi Everyone,
Is there any more word as to when the Lyme documentary, "Under Our Skin" from Open Eye productions is slated to be released? I want to make sure everyone I have any contact with sees it.

Why would $$ be needed to get reviews?? Perhaps you mean for preliminary screenings?
I know people can buy reviews from made-up sources, but I certainly hope the people dedicated to this important documentary wouldn't compromise their integrity in such a way.

The documentary is still in editing. The producer has added more personal interviews. It takes a LOT of money to bring a film to theatres.
Besides editing to the final cut, the producers must raise money to get the film distributed. That requires advertising and purchasing of the rights to show the film in theatres.
A documentary usually requires tremendous financial backing because it does not reach the general public like those you see in your local theatres do
and therefore cannot possibly make the money back for the producers that a "popular" film can. I do know that this particular producer is quite interested in bringing his film to fruition. He
is dedicated to getting out the real and personal stories about the difficulties facing people with Lyme and the doctors who attempt to treat them.
If anyone here, be it a group or a person, wants to donate money to help get this documentary completed, I believe there is a place on the website.
Go to Open Eye Productions or follow the thread here about the film from KrisKraft.

I was just wondering about this film too. I saw a movie or doc about a person with A.L.S.
There was a part in the movie where she starts out OK going up a flight of steps but the more flights the more difficult it takes to the point where she is pulling herself up the stairs with her arms.
I recall several doctor's asking me if I could go up stairs when I was searching for answers.
I know wonder if they saw the same film.
Point being...I believe the film will help the medical field if doctor's are exposed to it.
Regarding the stairs...I told them no I did not have a problem...but that was because I only went up about 5 steps. I would have had a problem if I had to go up 5 flights.
Any questions, concerns, clear as mud? I thought so.
