Hi Robin,

I didn't mean to abandon Jeopardy! I appreciate your taking the time to come up with games to bring some humor to Lymenet.

I'm having a very rough time with Rifampin right now (after thinking the worst was over), swamped with work, doctors' appointments, the whole bit. But I will put on my thinking cap (if only there were such a thing!) when I can.

I hope MagicAcorn's son is OK. Squirrel hugs continue to go out to them!

Jill

More sick countricks:

Scotlymed, Wails, Irelymed, Finlymed, Lymethuania

I met someone this past week who was infected in the Phillipines 20 years ago by picking ticks off his dogs. He didn't know his myriad symptoms matched Lyme until I told him this week. This is an international phenom.

DocDave,

You and MagicAcorn are in a running battle for the best and funniest squirrel photos. I feed lots of squirrels and I've never seen an St. Patty's squirrel or a mooning squirrel - you've discovered new species!!

I've seen a few infectious disease ducks I'd love to send that mooning squirrel to!

How are you feeling?

Jill

lyme disease doing good.
but feel its going to relapse any day.
can't walk well for fear i will fall, and pain
feels like knee will give out.
surgery 7 weeks ago went well but now pain lower
than knee.

lots of heavy stress and severely depressed.
wife living in another apartment, wants to live together, but won't live in our house.

i can't stand going to her apartment.
so i don't see her much because i can't go to her apartment.

trying to sell house, showing this week dropped out , so now i'm really depressed.

may just have to rent house and buy new house,
cause can't stand the stress any longer.
have four dogs that shed and must clean house for 1 day for showing, then take them to park for 1.5 hours, just too much stress for me.

so even showing the house is a major ordeal for me, the house was cleaned yesterday, and she cancelled after i cleaned.

so now major depression, so i posted the irish squirrels instead.

DocDave,

Have you seen your orthopedic surgeon for a follow-up just to make sure the knee isn't going through some post-surgical issue or perhaps you need more physical therapy?

I know you said the pain is now below the knee, but we all know how pain can refer or how pain can be caused when we compensate by walking differently or whatever to try to take pressure off of a painful area.

Just throwing that out in hopes that it is a localized knee-oriented issue, not Lyme in that area.

I totally relate to the feeling of being overwhelmed, I think we all do. I've been through a major move while being very ill and it's horrible. I also know that my Lyme and coinfections have gotten worse this past year due to family crises.

So don't be hard on yourself, you've got a lot of stresses on top of everything.

I spent three days this holiday weekend cleaning my house because friends were coming over and I've been too sick to clean it. I literally was on the brink of fainting from trying to do that much housework while being sick. So I can only imagine how you feel trying to keep the house clean in order to show it.

Is your wife's apartment something you could tolerate for brief visits?

Thanks for posting the squirrels. Hopefully they cheered you up - they gave me a great big smile!

[group hug]

Jill

lyme symptoms in remission for 4 weeks now.
knee pain is NOT LYME REALATED.

it is physical pain. it feels as though
when he ground the meniscus and bone he left a high spot on the bearing bone.
at rest ,if i been my knee, i can feel it slip 3-4 times before it straightens.
almost like a nick on a wheel.

i will see him next week or get a second oppinion.

this is one of the orthopods that did not want to do surgery due to lyme.

day after surgery , there was no swelling, waliking fine, zero pain after surgery.
i told him that i was sterile inside my body and i could not get an infection!!!!!!
 -
i giving up squirrels for lent.

luckily i'm jewish!!!!!!!!!!!!! [kiss]

Cute squirrels, Docdave -- re no squirrels for lent, may I remind you that squirrels don't fast; they are fast.

Sorry about your troubles -- we all go through stuff and can relate to the overwhelm...take it easy...

5 more ticked-off countreeze:

Honderxus, Elyme Salvador, Belyme, Pehru, Bolymia(or maybe these are the names for Stymie's next five squirrels)

On the country music station. Has not been released yet.

You can hear it for free at:

http://www.kmps.com/pages/92266.php

Don't read below if you want to listen.

I just about drove off the road. Very unexpected.

Von

One part says:

I want to see you in the moonlight

I want to kiss you back in the sticks

I want to walk you through a field of flowers

I want to check you for ticks

I decided to bring this post back for Rose today. I looked at her site at www.angelfire.com/tx3/RoseWriter/ She recorded a Lyme rewrite for John Denver's "Leavin' On A Jet Plane", called "Grievin' On A Lyme Train."(Lyrics by Jeaninne Der Bedrosian) Please see this site for lyrics, and if you can listen, great. I don't have audio here myself...

Near the end, lyrics say:

Persecution of Lyme docs must cease
Find longterm treatment of Lyme disease
Until that time this song will have no end...

This is also an appropriate statement for today, Dr. Jones' hearing.

May Rose's song never end...

[hi]

Robin123, lymenut, suggested I post my song parody here: "If you'd like, you could go there and post your song lyrics. If you do this, it'll resurrect us from the netherworld of pg 16 to the top of General Support, and who knows, it might inspire some more songs..." So here goes...

The Lyme Rally Song

(Sung to the tune of ``Vietnam Rag''
as performed by Country Joe and the Fish)
*************************************************

And it's one two three
What are we living for?
IDSA doctors don't give a damn
Tell us we're all a scam.

And it's five six seven
Waitin' by the Pearly Gates
With all this pain we wonder why
Whoopee! Why we don't just die!

(Anybody besides me remember Woodstock?)

Be well,
Connie

Hey! Missed our many Lyme songs,
so sing a song for me --
I'm not sleeping
and there is no way I'm going to...

Hey! Missed our many Lyme tunes,
long time put away --
Now the jangle of our jingles
can come followin' you...

Tho I know that evenin's empire
has returned me to my bed,
sleep vanished from my head,
left me idly here to type
'cause still not sleeping,

My wakefulness amazes me,
I've now landed on my feet,
I have a song to greet,
And the anxious empty brain's
too dead for dreaming...

To be cont'd -- have to call it a nite...
