Hi, i just started rifampin . then progressive

severe constant muscle tightness occurred.
i do not know whether it is a coincidence or not.
the pain doc prescribed tizanidine it works.

but when it wears off symptoms are there again.

also with muscle tightness all over is up b/p.
both symptoms new since rifampin. anyone else had this experience?

welcom ronda,

i suggest copying this post and pasting it to NEW POST IN MEDICAL since it deals with meds ok!

when you put it on over there, in subject line, show med namees you are on ok! this way you'll get reader takinnng your meds!!

then you could delete tis post since the boards are very acive daily.

to delete; go to 3rd icon, pencil/paper, clicking on it which oens up subject line and body text too.


now go to top left corner, and CLICK DELETE POST, HIT ENTER, and it''s gone. disregard moderator's comment; you posted; you can delete it without assistance. good luck.

Sorry, I haven't taken rifampin. I agree with Betty, post this in medical.

I have the overall muscle tightness. Some people feel better on magnesium but I don't know how well that goes with rifampin.

I find I have to take tizanidine every 5 hours to keep it from wearing off. If you take it with food, it seems to reduce the fatigue.
