That is definitely funny in that context. I don't think it's a joke, but rather a poorly constructed website. Each thing listed under side effects is a link which takes you to another post containing the words "doxycycline" and the word under side effects.
It's just an error...but funny all the same. It also says that legs, sunscreen, and a glass of water are side effects of doxy. Very strange side effects if you ask me.

Gosh, I didn't realize my legs were also a side effect!!
I agree that it's just a poorly done website. They meant well but they could scare some poor soul taking Doxy for something other than Lyme that reads that list!
