hi all,
i just thought of you all, had a free moment and decided to post.
i have snuck peeks at what's happening from time to time.

i am doing well and i can honestly say that i have been living life on a pretty average basis. i started sky diving and ...(no!!!!!)

i could use your prayers since i am going to get carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow. if you have a moment, please say a little one for me. i have faith in my surgeon, however i am still quite nervous about it.

i have spent time with my beautiful grandson over xmas and was able to hold him, usually with a brace. he is a joy and i have much to be grateful for.

have been quilting and have a show of art quilts in the halls of the school where i work.

so, i have been doing okay. still get tired way too easily, but that's about it, as far as remaining stx.

miss y'all. think of y'all and how much hope and help i got here.

love
hopeful123 [hi] [group hug]

Sending you prayers for the surgery and the sky diving. Yikes!

I know that prior to Lyme I could have tried that,

But now...I would be so sick!

Glad to hear you are doing well. Are you currently on any type of regimen?

Sending you Angels to hold and comfort you tomorrow.

Hugs,

Geneal

I had the surgery one week ago today. Still sore, but nowhere as bad as I thought it would be. I just can't push it. It will take as long as it takes to recover, and then I will find out how much the surgery helped.

I will be hanging out a bit from time to time. Still not real keen on coming home from a day at the computer, to more computer, however, we'll see.

wishing everyone the best

Hey, just wanted to mention something that helped me with my carpal tunnel syndrome.

I developed CTS from weight training and went thru a retraining program from a RN on how to use a keyboard, cutlery, etc. correctly to diminish symptoms.

One thing I stumbled onto that helped me immensely was to use something called Seabands.

There little elastic wrist straps that use accupressure for seasickness.

While wearing them on the boat I've found out that my carpal tunnel symptoms decreased.

Anytime I had to do anything wrist intensive I used these at all times.

I've recovered fully from CTS.

I bought mine in Alaska where I use to live but I'm sure they can be found on the internet.

Glad your doing better!

[Smile]

I too didn't see this when it was posted; but glad you came out of surgery ok and on the road to recovery. [group hug] [kiss]

thought it was interesting about the wrist bands.

i know the elastic "splints" really help and have for me at night SLEEPING! they just throbbed otherwise.

did you ever put your SUCCESS story in SUPPORT for others to learn from you and congratulate you!

quilting sounds great; glad you are able to enjoy your labor of love's hanging in the hallway. see you now and then here!
