I agree, However,,,

The public perseption of lyme is what really truely stinks!!

Most people think they can be cured with the current guidelines and that really sucks.

Yes, suckorama!

Here's a song that I just heard on the radio. Just imagine the guy as Lyme...and the Way the World Goes 'Round as our roller-coaster Lyme ride/existance!

That's the Way that the World Goes 'Round
 John Prine
I know a guy that's got a lot to lose.
He's a pretty nice fellow but he's kind of confused.
He's got muscles in his head that ain't never been used.
Thinks he own half of this town.
Starts drinking heavy, gets a big red nose.
Beats his old lady with a rubber hose,
then he takes her out to dinner and buys her new clothes.
That's the way that the world goes 'round.
That's the way that the world goes 'round.
You're up one day and the next you're down.
It's half an inch of water and you think you're gonna drown.
That's the way that the world goes 'round.
I was sitting in the bathtub counting my toes,
when the radiator broke, water all froze.
I got stuck in the ice without my clothes, naked as the eyes of a clown.
I was crying ice cubes hoping I'd croak,
when the sun come through the window, the ice all broke
I stood up and laughed thought it was a joke
That's the way that the world goes 'round.

Hugs,

wiserforit

thanks all for validating that i'm not the only one struggling. i have been relapsing, need to go the llmd, not going to happen soon.

the day i wrote this post i fell down the stairs eneded up in the hospital ER. went into shock, bruised the tailbone, ripped my shoulder, broke my finger, etc. My giant rear turned into a giant hematoma of the most colorful i have ever seen. then got an embolism from the traveling clot.

shoulder still hurts and its getting to where i can't raise arm so i am sure i ripped something and need to go to the duck. er duck only xrayed viibly purple finger and tailbone, not shoulder, so i don't know what is going on there.

oh did i mention my daughter got reinfected this summer with another tick on her head? local duck gave her a couple wks doxy is all and she needs more but we took what wse could get at the time. i am out or i would have given her some of mine.

and this week my son was home sick (also has lyme) and the principal wants to have a meeting to update the plan for my daughter. i had to miss it because i was giving son breathing neb treatments every 4 hrs and couldn't leave him home with husband scared of a wheezer.

i really really need to go see someone. i wish they made housecalls, ykwim?

calgon take me away. ohthis burning shoulder go away!! i do not want to have surgery!

Blah blah blah thanks for letting em vent

ima whiner

Hi

I'm having a momenmentrary lapse of sleeep but I just thought I'd share with my friends out there that the book 90 minutes in heaven might be an encouragement- boy and I thought I was in pain. This guy was actually dead from a semi rolling over his car for 90 minutes before he came back to all that pain. Hope it inspires you like it has me. It's really a breath of fresh air when you feel like you are in just too much pain!

Then I saw McCain unable to move his arms hardly at all after being a POW with two broken arms and a brokien leg and no one to help him.

Wow, It's good to know we'll get through it eventually.
