After joking about not answering the phone,e-mails etc. a few minutes ago,in my Post asking about diabetes ,on Medical Question board...I picked up the phone and answered.

TxCoords, Nepehew's back pack was stolen,as he was going to the store and heading for work.

He was afoot, and jumped by a big heavyweight type guy. He heard 'drop the backpack...' and then was struck in the head by a baseball bat.

'T' s head required stitches, his eye is swollen he's black and blue and his 'good' elbow is now bad.[ he'd been in a recent accident not his fault].

See if we answer the phone ...things just keep happening... I know,I'm being over- genralizing...I just cannot beleive this,

Just Silverwolf

Sorry about that. Hope he feels better soon.
It is unfortunate that things like this happen though. What a world.

<<<<< jeanette' and Lymetoo >>>>>,

Thanks for the replies, I think 'T'is like 23? My brain isn't cooperating. If I'm not mistaken he graduated the year before his Dad died[ BIL died in'06].

It's been a rough couple of years,in our family.

If we get a chance to talk to SIL ,will reccommend 'T' get into a victims advocacy group or however it is called.

The whole thing is just so senseless... the accident he had before this mess, was a hit and run. 'T' tries to be watchful, but a semi-truck clipped him,he was on his bike.

He was just sorta getting over all that and now this. T prolly feels like he has a big target painted on his back or something.

I am glad he made it thru this w/o dying, and hope he will improve rapidly.

And we are hoping they catch the jerkwad that did this.

<<<<< ConnieR. >>>>>,

Thank You for teh kind words and prayers as well.

TxC' called his brother this evening to find out more.'T' is at his own appt. now,but is limited in what he'll be able to do for awhile.

Evidently the elbow was pretty well messed up, even more so than T's head and eye.

I am praying that he has no serious lasting damage from this attack. We suggessted the victims support groups, hopefullyu he has one close by.

Thanks again Y'all for the kindnesses...

<<<<< Peedie >>>>>,

Thanks for the kind tho'ts and prayers for 'T' !!!

Even tho' he's told his uncle the elbow bothers him more than the head injury,I am concerned.

My SIL is a CNA in their local hospital emergency room, she watches him closely, when she isn't at work.

Still,-T- was so angry when TxC's younger bro'[his dad]passed away in '06,at 43 yrs.old.

Things just keep happening...I hope he'll go to a victims support/advocacy group when he is out and about more.

I'll BBL thanks again to all repliers!

Love from Silverwolf Warrioress

I'm new here, so you don't know me, but I wanted to extend my prayers to "T" and your family.

It's a terrible thing to be victimized like that, and I am well aware of the anguish and feelings associated with loss and things happening one right after the other.

Hoping for recovery and strength for all.

Guess these things bother me more than most,,,cause violent acts are so rare in my insulated little world.

Most violence here are due to domestic probs etc.

Does he live in a high crime area?? If so any chance he can relocate to safer surroundings??

Hope he can get past it and get on with living!! Best wishes to him and all YOUR family silver one!!--just don--

Hi there <<<<< OnToTommorrow,BettyG,LymeToo, and JustDon >>>>>.

Altho' we don't get to hear from Nephew everyday, last report said he was working again, tho' has limitations.

We are getting differing accounts, between BIL and his wife [Alabama]in area, Elderly Aunt, and a worried SIL in Texas. BILs info' is prolly the best!

So have to find out such things as does 'T' have his back pack returned? And did it happen at the Resruarant-Store?, or the store on the way to the restuarant?.

I know if I'd been whapped upside the head w/ a baseball bat,and had injury to a elbow as well,I'd have trouble even explaining much of anything for awhile.

'T' lives in a part of town that is rather rough. He's sharing an appartment w/ another young guy. His moms neighborhood is as bad or worse.

He had already changed restaurant locations,to one closer to home,w/ less traffic after a hit and run accident some months back,he was the vicitm.

'T' tries hard to be watchful and cautious. He is well liked in his community, and not a troublemaker. It is just plain scarey.

He has said the elbow injury is still plaguing him as much as anything else.

These are times I wish good old Sci-Fi StarTrek Transporter Tech' was real, safe, affordable and available!!!

Tap a button on the keyboard, off to West Coast,Southern US, Midwest, or maybe Germany,to see how a friends travel-tour is going and on to Britain to see another friend who is fighting physical problems!!!

Ah well one can dream right! Will keep y'all informed as we get news!

Love from Silverwolf!
