Pink,

That is so awesome. There are many of us here that know how you feel. It's those moments that make staying alive worth it. d

I am so happy for you. [group hug]

Pinkpixie

able to read a bit of your skating adventure. Hurray!

I received a T Shirt in the mail today out of the blue from a friend.

Acorn would like this one...

it is olive green with two squirrels on it with a pile of nuts...

with the words Freakin' Nuts written under the pic

That was fun!

PS has anyone considered doing this thread once a week..or have I asked that all ready??

It would help those of us with limited reading skills...I think

It was a good day.

Good to feel the warmth of friends around you.

It was unusually warm but wonderful today...
my horse is 'retired' but occasionally I 'ask' if he would like to go for a walk in the woods.

If he comes to me when I show him the loose ring of rope I use for a bridle...I know he wants to go for a ride.

He lets me climb on him bareback. He has to stand near a fence so I can get on...so patiently.

We walked...together.

Met some young horses playing nearby in a field.

He watched...curious....wanted to get closer to meet them...

then we walked home.

He stopped at the barn door as if on cue.

I slid off and buried my face in his soft coat...
and cried.

It was a good day.

really enjoyed reading about your adventure sizzled.

for a long time, i would wake up from a night mare bad way to start the day.

but this morning, i woke up dreaming brad pit, jolie and someone else were working on finding bombs and taking them out..the kind that are hidden.

brad pitt and i were interested in each other...i was much younger of course but leery of getting involved with him as my first husband had died

but, we were on our way to a romantic get away at teh end of the dream.

wish i could recall where we were going...a place i had never heard of but only in my dreams. ha!

woke up thinking perhaps it was a script for a movie and i needed to write it down.

but don't have the memory now to do so.

so nice to have a good dream after all these years of bad dreams with lyme and company.

jolie and i got in a couple of rough spots while out working...hiding in the sand under a bridge hoping the enemy did not see us

running from the bomb site because the enemy was after us.

then into a restaurant and sitting down with people we did not know to blend in

the bad guys followed us into the restaurant.

by the way jolie and brad were not a couple in my dream...she was my partner in dismantling trip wires and finding the bombs.

action pack dream

i was moving fast and thinking fast.

My son Wesley started kindergarten this year.

He's a smart kid, but it hasn't been easy for him--he has trouble staying focused, and in my honest opinion, I think they push kids to do too much in kindergarten these days.

Anyway, he's been doing really well with the math, but not so well with reading.

Well, things are finally starting to click--he can pick out some of his sight words in books and on signs.

And this was REALLY cool. There's a road not too faar from our church that's called Wesley Drive.

We were driving past there one day recently, and for the first time, Wesley looked out the window and said, "Mommy, that's my name on that sign!"

What was really cool was that when I was pregnant with him, and we knew we were having a boy and we had picked the name Wesley,

as we were driving past that sign one day, I heard a little boy's voice say, "Mommy, that's my name!"

And now that has finally come true. [Smile]

What a relief Merry girl to have a safe car to drive now.

Having food in the house is good too!

And having others care!!

I was finally able to make a short run via the power chair and tram to the grocery store.

I got depends...finally. I have needed them in the past several times but once the symptoms went away kept forgetting.

So, I am ready this time if those symptoms start up again.

Postage stamps finally came in today too so once I am up to it I can get those thank you cards in the mail.

And I was able to pick up a roll of quarters at the grocery store so once I am up to it I can do the laundry now too.
