I was sucessfully treated with IV for over a year and oral to follow-up by Dr. J. I have been back to work as an ultrasound tech again fulltime for about 3 years. I finished my treatment in 2004.

All of a sudden some old symptoms are creeping back. I am in a lot of pain and very tired all the time again.

Anyone else out there sucessfully treated then relapse after all this time?? I am scared. It is as if the walls are closing in again. I figured only fellow lymies would know what I mean!

Dr. J is around again but fee for service now-uggggggggg!!

Cathy,

I'm sorry you are going through this. I haven't gotten to the point you have, so I can't speak from first hand experience.

I do know that when I was on the oral protocol for 21 months, I did get well enough that my husband and I took a three week cruise to South America.

A few months later though, I seemed to fall down the tubes and referred to a more aggressive LLMD. I've been on IV since Aug. 1 of last year.

With that said, they were trying to figue out why I fell even in that SHORT amount of time and one speculation is...is there any way you could have gotten RE-infected?

I do hope someone will come along that has experience in what you are going through and offer some guidance. Good luck to you.

Cathy
