Good Morning,

Inspired by Fuel's comment at the end of the last God Thought thread (I encourage you to be sure and go back and read it) has caused me to think about...

The faithfulness of God.

The blessings of family and friends.

The peace of knowing that God is in control.

The joy of knowing God and walking with Him.

Which leads me to share Psalm 1

1 Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.

2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.

3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.

4 But not the wicked!
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.

5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.

6 For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.


Thank You, Lord, for watching over us! Unfathonable that You are in control of the whole universe and yet You are concerned about every area of our lives! May we be compelled to delight in You more and more. Draw us to You!

Tomorrow (Thurs) I have to have my liver and pancreatic enzymes checked again....it's been weekly.

A couple of them were not quite normal yet....would appreciate prayers for all to be normal.

My return appt with the GI Dr is Aug 15.

I just had to comment on Daisy's choice for the day/week.
Psalm 1:3 So deep, even though I like it all, this one stood out, so I researched and studied.

In the figure of fruit bearing tree the psalmist shows the results of the godly life. The godly is blessed in three ways.
First he lives a useful life, producing the fruits of the spirit.
Secondly he is perennially fresh and vigorous. And thirdly he ultimately succeeds in his endeavours.

As the tree is rooted in the solid earth and draws its moisture from the ever-flowing stream, so the godly sends his roots and derives sustenance from the water springs of salvation. We are steadfast, fixed and anchored. Thus, though we may be assailed by trouble and temptation, we stand firm; and the greater the trial, the deeper the root, and the stronger our hold on God. In whatever affair of the good we engage in, we prosper. Regardless of the success or failure of the undertaking, our trust in God empowers us to draw life from the eternal Source and ultimately to reach our goal.

Thanks daisy for a grand lesson. I want to learn more. This is exciting! Ok, everyone have fun learning and sharing...I will miss. But I am going to go have a different fun...relax and absorb. see ya. hugs.

MDW, Thanks for studying and sharing your understanding. I want to be that tree getting deep roots and bearing good fruit. Just that the storms that get us deeper can be challenging.

But, that said, there is nothing better than getting closer to Jesus. He has suffered a whole lot more for me that I ever will for Him.

We had our Bible study today ... the time went too fast as we were talking about the throne of God in Revelation 4 and all we will see. Even a glimpse is awemazing!!

MDW, That research you shared on Psalm 1:3, painted a great word picture for me. It is mind blowing when you realize "...they (who meditate on God's Word DAY AND NIGHT--hello? I need to do that more!) prosper in all they do."

I mean, go figure, it really ain't rocket science when you think about it, huh?!

Advice of the wicked VS "Advice" from Word of God

God's Word truly does make THE difference in our lives.

Wayne shares Psalm 19:7-11, Yup, I testify to the truth of that verse...my life is a testimony.

"restore a sin damaged and distraught soul" Check
"bring joy to the downcast" Check
"provide spiritual discernment" Check

And imagine 2 Peter 1:3 that word "all"...God's Word contains ALL we need for life, godliness, truth and righteousness.

God's Word is AWESOME just like He is.

DKat, Go good to read your posts. The storms come...and what happens? Our roots just go/grow deeper into the heart of our God. Your Bible Study on Revelation sounds wonderful...well, I know it is! Thanks for sharing with us. You are so right...there is nothing better than getting close to Jesus.

It's so good to be back on my regular schedule. Good to be more regular on God Thought. You all bless me!

Dekrator, So glad you posted that beautiful song. That was so cool how the video started in black and white and changed to color. I bet that's a somewhat of an idea of the difference it will be between now and eternity. Now we are living in black and white...but one day we will be living in full color! [woohoo]

Wanted to share another of my favorite passages of scriptures. This is from Ephesians.

14 ...I kneel before the Father,

Good morning God thought friends!

Sorry I haven't posted much this week. I keep popping by to read what you all have shared in the mornings but when I get to come back in the evenings I've been too tired to put together my thoughts.

This week has been busy for me. Lots of Dr.'s appts. I also seem to be right in the middle of a herx so that makes everything harder.

I do have some good news to share with you all. I finally got to follow-up with my immunologist earlier this week. After reviewing my test results and medical history he said that I definitely have CVID (Common Variable Immune Disorder).

He is recommending that I try weekly subcutaneous Ig treatments. He thinks that this will help me more than the once monthly IVIG treatments because it will maintain a higher and more steady trough level. It is also supposed to have less risk of side effects than IV.

I'm hopeful that this is going to be the key to my recovery. That it will give my immune system the support it needs to finally fight off these infections.

Will you please pray with me that my insurance will cover these treatments (cost approx $2,000 per wk!) so that I can get started ASAP? Thanks so much!

Update... My neck and back pain is more tolerable now. I'm waiting for my traction device to arrive so I can begin to really improve. Thanks for all the prayers.

Last week I asked God for mercy. I told him I was tired and done and sad and it was a lot for one family to take. I asked God to give us victory and I asked again and again for His mercy to fall on us. When the house had the water damage and the crew came in and immediately went to work pulling up carpet, base boards, and cutting holes in places I wanted to pull the covers over my head and be done.

When Gage's Dr said the tumor had grown I thought my heart was going to stop beating from stress and exhaustion. I got the call while taking Dane to football practice. It is never good timing. I wanted to stop life.

But, I took Dane to practice and sat down under a tree and thought about how incredibly blessed I was. Our struggles are hard but I value the time I can sit under a tree and watch my son.

I value the moments, so much, when I can sit and hang out with one of my kids talking about whatever, taking them to swim, playing a game, hearing about their day with a friend. Without these struggles in our lives I don't think I would understand the importance of a slower pace life.


Yesterday, Champion Restoration came back out to assess everything and see how the rooms dried. Guess what . . . That company is charging us: zero. Mercy from God!! ZERO! We are blessed!! We are blessed!! Thankfulness is a humbling emotion.

We are so thankful to this company. It overwhelmed my heart and Dan's. Why aren't we doing more of this for each other? I can't wait to bless someone else. I pray that God will show us people to help and people to bless. Take our family outside of ourselves and give us a heart of giving.


Pray Gage's healing comes quickly. Pray that it comes in such a miraculous way that everyone knows only God could do it. May God get all the glory and praise for what is happening to Gage. Healing my Friends' is Gage's. Believe with us.

Payne, I love that picture you posted at the beginning of this thread. So pretty. Thank you for always being here. For sharing what God is teaching you. For always remembering and reminding us to pray for everyone in need here on LN.

You are right that there are times when God has to shake us up so that we can take our eyes, our thoughts, and our hearts off ourselves and put them back where they belong, gazing into His eyes, holding onto His hand, seeking His will.

Aren't we blessed that God cares enough for each one of us that he would look down and say "hey Payne, hey sammy, don't you want to walk with me?". Our God truly loves us.

Daisy, you posted one of my favorite scripture passages from Ephesians. As DKat said, I often need to read it over and over until it sinks in and I can feel it in my heart.

If you can set your mind to be thankful and praise God even in difficult situations, it will change your perspective and how you feel. It can be hard to remember though to praise God and be thankful when things are difficult. This is something that I need and want to work on in my own life.

My liver and pancreatic enzymes, drawn yesterday, are better than last week, but a few are still slightly elevated so I will have them repeated again next week on Thursday.

But..the good news is that they are going in the right direction and some of them are normal now.

A great reminder to be thankful and not complain, even when my body is feeling alot of pain everyday.

I know it doesn't compare to our Lord's suffering for us.

I also often feel like I think about lyme way to much. I think it is because the constant pain and stiffness is a big reminder.

I need to spend more time seeking Him and less time thinking about how much I hurt.

I had a visit from the most beautiful hummingbird when I was outside watering three trees we planted in the spring.

When I have seen a hummingbird in the past, it was drinking from a hummingbird feeder while in flight.

This hummingbird came within 2 feet of me and stayed for over a minute.

He landed twice on a nearby branch giving me a spectacular view of his colorful feathers.

Most of his body was gray, but his back was the most beautiful spring green and he had a small area on his throat that looked like flourescent rubies.....soooooo gorgeous!

All I could think of was this is God's wondrous creation!

Thank you, Lord Jesus for sending that little hummingbird my way and for creating that beautiful bird.

Dekrator-I'm so sorry you're feeling more stiffness & pain ... but, so happy your liver is healing. We continue to pray for your complete healing & no more pain!

sammy~that prayer is for you too...healing. The Lord bless and prosper this new procedure to be paid for and to bring your immune system into balance to complete this healing.

Lymetoo~thank you for sharing the update about Gage's family. I'm so glad the Lord touched Champion Restoration Co. to bless this family. May this be the beginning of total victory for them. Glad you're feeling a bit better...may this, too, continue.

Dekrator~It's hard for me to share the Revelation study...wish we could all sit together and share the excitement of what we will soon see.

John gets the first glimpse of God's throne in Heaven ... it must be hard to find words to explain the glory of this.

4:3 God sitting on His throne .... in appearance of Jasper & sardine/ruby. In John's time, Jasper was diamond-like.

God described as clear brilliant faceted light ... with some beautiful red ruby glimpses.

Emerald rainbow ... can't imagine this but it must be splendid. This encircles the throne. The throne of grace...the rainbow and emblem of grace. And the emerald was the Jewish wedding stone.

4:4-5 Then there's the 24 elders ... possibly the 12 apostles & 12 patriarchs (Jacob's sons. The new Jerusalem's foundations are named after the apostles & the gates are named after the patriarchs.)

Anyway, 24 blessed men in white, each wearing a victor's crown.

4:6 Living creatures...cherubim (plural for cherub & not described as fat winged babies). This can get too long for here...but these glorious creatures have perfect vision. They continually glorify our God.

Not because they are robotic....but because they continually see something new and glorious about Him or what He has done worthy of praise. They can't keep it silent!

And then the elders catch a glimpse of new glory and bow down to worship too!

And this is just a couple verses....imagine, those who love Jesus Christ will be honored with this glorious place. We will be complete ... in His complete love and glory.

It all sounds so incredibly beautiful and hard to imagine. And the cherabim.....(I giggled at your comment," not described as fat winged babies")...they must be magnificent!

I will take some time to reread Rev 4 and what you wrote.

I really appreciate your time and effort.

I can imagine how hard it is to really describe what you've learned by writing it here vs being able to talk about it in person.

Good Afternoon on this Wonderful Lord's Day,

Church service was great. Pastor preached on the demon possessed man that lived in the cemetary. Actually in my mind I went off of his message and thought about living in the cemetary..figuratively.

I was reminded of that verse in Deuteromomy 30:19, "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!"

For us who are Believers, Almighty God lives in us...we can choose life with our attitude, our words, and our actions...for with God all things are possible...and we are blessed to be a blessing.

You all blessed me with your posts, as always, and I look forward to sharing my thoughts soon.

Dekrator, You sure have been on a roller coaster ride lately. Sorry for the pain you're having. Thankful your lab numbers are getting better.

I so enjoy God's creation and He often speaks to me through His creation. That must have been an amazing experience with the hummingbird. So beautiful. I've seen hummingbirds before, but that specific color of one I've only seen in pictures.

May you sense God's love, peace, and especially His healing touch. The good work He has started in you and your life He will complete. Our God is faithful!

Hey Payne, Reading your post about God getting your attention...reminds me of this one time I was just being still in God's sweet presence. It was awesome.

This took place during a time in my life when I was "warring" with my clock's snooze alarm "get up go to prayer closet OR stay in bed sleep". Hah!

The Lord spoke to my heart very tenderly, "What is better than this (My presence)? I responded, "Nothing?" Then I saw in my mind's eye all the things that I had put before my time with Him (including sleeping a few more minutes, including catching up on straightening up a few things in the house, inluding internet...etc).

The Lord continued speaking to me, "I've missed you." Can you imagine? Oh, WOW. That is our awesome God. He misses us...just like we miss our children if we miss time with them!

See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called sons and daughters, children of the living God! (See 1 John 3:1)

Got to go for now. I'll be back to continue...

DKat, Thank you for your prayers, encouraging posts and sharing your Bible study with us. It excites my spirit as I read what you write. What you shared about the Throne of God with the angels and emerald rainbow, I recently read about that, too, in Ezekiel. I need to think more often about standing before His throne. Think about Jesus coming back again. [bow] [woohoo]

Not much happened after that bite and bulls-eye rash. Thank God! Thanks for asking about it. Since then, some days I have been more tired than usual...when that happens I take a nap. That hasn't slowed me down...I'm still working full time...etc, etc, etc.

Before the bite, I had been symptom free for a month. I would say that most days I am 100% fine...some days it's 90%. So you can see that I am doing very well. I praise Jesus so much for leading me on the healing path that has/is working for me and I praise Him for making the body so amazing...I call it "a healing machine!" [Smile]

Yup, our bodies are healing machines. Health and healing to you...and the rest of you too.

Sammy, I'm praying for you and the new protocol you are starting. I join you in praying that the weekly subcutaneous Ig treatments and the once monthly IVIG treatments are affective. I pray there are no side effects. Praying that the insurance company comes through, too. With God nothing is impossible

May your "healing machine" kick it up a notch as your immune system is build up.

You shared, "If you can set your mind to be thankful and praise God even in difficult situations, it will change your perspective and how you feel. It can be hard to remember though to praise God and be thankful when things are difficult. This is something that I need and want to work on in my own life."

True. And makes me think how God is worthy to be thanked and praised and worshiped always...just because of who He is!

Lymetoo, Thanks for sharing the Update. Pray that the traction device gives you a real breakthrough. You are amazing...all that you do in spite of what you go through.

I can't imagine all that Gage is going through...and also his family. Praying for them and for Gage to be healed in a miraculous way and people are drawn to God!

This family is an amazing example and message how we/I should value each moment more and live a more slower paced life. True, we are so blessed!

Thank God for Champion Restoration...charging nothing!

I'm reminded of that song, "Count your blessings name then one by one...and it will amaze you what the Lord has done." AMEN!

daisy ~ thank you for your posts. I'm so glad you're feeling so well. It is encouraging to know our God does heal.

It is so amazing that God wants fellowship with us/me...too big for the mind to grasp. I love the things He constantly does to remind us He is near!

Our church service was wonderful, too. Pastor taught about not just putting 'Jesus' on for Sunday, but taking time to fellowship with Him by prayer and reading His Word every day.

Then we will be more and more like Him. It will show by our love and what we will do to help bless others (as He has blessed us). That reminds me, I need to get off here and write that thank you note.

It has been a busy weekend here. Today is Kaden's 5th birthday.

Yesterday he had a party with his little friends.
Today he had a family party.

Both parties were a fun time and I know Kaden really enjoyed them.

Yesterday I also went to yard sales. The boys were excited about the guitars I got for them....children's size, but real guitars.

They were a great bargain and in like-new condition with zippered cases.

You just never know what you are going to find for next to nothing....love that....it's the thrill of the hunt.

This morning I also enjoyed church, and then breakfast. The servers at the restaurant sang to Kaden and presented him with 2 Frownies (this restaurant has brownies with frosted frowning faces drawn on...just silly looking) with a candle.

I thank our Lord for my many blessings including my precious grandsons.

I thank our Lord for friends like all of you.

Praying for everyone!

Tomorrow (Monday) is my GI Dr appt. Praying he will discharge me from his care.

Your posts reminded me of something I've wanted to share. Check this out: http://joelandkrista.wordpress.com

It's a blog written by a sweet missionary couple (they used to go to my church). Their main work is in Costa Rica but they also do film production for full time missionaries and other non-profit type organizations around the world.

Their latest film project took them to Israel. I have never been to Israel so it was fascinating to me to be able to see pictures of places that were described in Bible stories. To see those places makes the stories more real and alive for me.

They were in Israel for 15 days so there are lots of pictures. I would recommend you start at day one, read about that day, then watch the picture slide show. I tried looking at the pictures first and didn't know what they were, so it made much more sense to take the time to read about them first!

Reading this thread lifts me up. I've been struggling since my brother committed suicide just over two weeks ago. I've been leaning on God to get me through. Our pastor has been amazing, very supportive, and did a wonderful, beautiful job at my brother's funeral. He has helped us so much.

God gets us through.

Yep...family sure is a gift from God.

They can be the ones who love us the most and hurt us the most.

Still praying here that all our family conflicts will be resolved through the love of Jesus.

I know what you mean about having too much stuff and needing to have a garage sale. It's alot of work to prepare for one.

I had one a couple years ago. It rained cats and dogs that morning. The rain finally stopped, people still came, and it turned out great.

Saw the GI Dr today. I should have guessed that he would not discharge me when a few of my liver and pancreatic enzymes are not completely normal yet.

Going back in 3 weeks.

It is a little frustrating how our healthcare system works.

I already knew all my test results from the MRI's and labwork, so he did not tell me anything new.

Yes, they took my vital signs, but they are always normal.

Yes, he did a quick exam of my abdomen, but I have never had any pain or anything there.

All that so he could tell me to come back in 3 weeks to see if my enzymes are normal...which I can get the results of before the appt.

It probably wouldn't bother me so much if my insurance covered Dr visits, or all my labwork, but it doesn't.

Ok, enough complaining....Thank you, Lord for slowly healing me. You know what is best for me and I trust in You.

Soon I will head to Curves to exercise. I will meet up with my friend, Carolyn. I look for her granddaughter (17 months old) stuff at yard sales too.

I found the cutest Christmas dress (found one last week too but figured you need one for Christmas eve and Christmas...right?), a long sleeved navy blue dress with pink ballerina slippers on it, 3 little pr of shoes just like new, a sweater, and 4 nice toys....all for $10!

When I went home to make mum smile, we went to a couple garage sells. It was actually fun, I did not buy anything, but mum did...I guess she knows a bargin we she sees one.

I read all your thoughts..you making me think, and the brain is tired, so I will ponder and open your link after bit. How is the dr. visits going? I pray you are getting the rest you need.

Life can be difficult, and when it is, we can depend upon our friends, and family, and upon Father. When we do, we find courage to face even the toughest of times with hopeful hearts and willing hands. If you find yourself tested in courage... Well, I bet you are stronger than you think you are. Sammy, with you, your friends, your family, and your Father all working together, you have nothing to fear. You help me with your caring heart that shows strength.

Yes, Kaden starts kindergarten this year.

His kindergarten room is right across the hall from his last year's prek-4 room and he knows the kindergarten teacher is really nice. She plays the guitar for the kids. Deven loved her as a teacher when he was in kindergarten.
