It's very common for family and friends to ignore you and treat you like you don't know what you're talking about, you don't have Lyme and LLMDs are "those doctors" etc.
I have experienced this myself. There have been many posts here on lymenet with many members experiencing the same thing.
It's like they have been hypnotized about Lyme along with the IDSA saying we are hypochondriacs and that Lyme is easy to cure. It's absolutely exasperating, unkind and unfair, but it's the way it is.
